FAR NTS expiring next month

For several urgent personal reasons, I won’t be able to commit enough studying for FAR, NTS expiring on 5/20. I don’t want to take it just to see what happens and wait 3 months for definite failure in August, so I’m just come to terms with simply allowing it to expire. My schedule will free up though towards the end of May, and I can commit to study well enough to take it towards the end of the Q3 window.

I just want to make sure that I time everything right so this Q3 test date could happen. When 5/20 comes and goes, will I be able to apply for an NTP the next day? Or is there going to be a few days lag before I can apply for another test? This might be a stretch, but is there a way to contact NASBA and/or my state board to prematurely revoke the NTS?

After sending in my application, I’m sure it’ll take the board another several weeks before I actually get my NTP and am able to schedule with Prometric. Is a 7/31 test date even feasible? I’m in California if that’s relevant.

    AUD - 72, 80
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 9/9/17
    REG - 86

there will be about a week lag until NASBA updates their computes

In NY you cannot revoke it, but not sure about CA

In NY it took about 1 business day for a new NTS, again not sure about CA, but we both do go through NASBA
A little trick you can do is to sign up for the exam with your current NTS (ie for next week) and don't show up. This will kill your current NTS and in about a week after NASBA gets confirmation from prometric that you didn't show up you can then apply for a new NTS. You can even use the new NTS this quarter because you never entered the launch code at prometric
