Hey guys. Just need some reassurance/recommendations on how I’m doing so far. I plan to take FAR (my first exam) around first week of July. I started my studying this past monday. it’s been a full week. I did about 28 hrs of studying.

I started by reading the notes+listening to audio while reading it, listening to audio laying in bed, etc. (copied some of the notes as I read it. Did a few Ninja MCQ under the Accounting standards content). I Did this for 5 days.

Then I bought the book yesterday and started reading it. I took intense notes on chapters 1-4. Financial Reporting is an incredible amount of material.

Am I moving too slow? I feel like the content is just too much but yes I know I still got until July to get it all down.

I guess it just depends on how you learn. It's one thing to review the material, the other thing to do thousands of MCQs. I studied for FAR about 7 weeks. I spent about 4 weeks on review and 3 weeks on MCQs. I felt the MCQs were more helpful because the test throws concepts at you in every obscure way unlike the readings. They force you to really understand the concepts. I completed about 2800 questions and felt pretty confident leaving the exam. So I would just make sure you give yourself enough time to answer a ton of questions.
