FAR or ____?

I would like to either spend Q4 studying for FAR and test Jan. 6th or test a shorter section on Dec. 9th. I will be out of the country and highly unlikely to study the week of Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas. I could probably get a little MC studying in but nothing significant, maybe 1.5-2 hours a day.

Should I study a shorter section Q4 and test Dec. 9th? If so, which one? I would have 3.5 weeks to study, a week away, then the next 2 weeks to study and test. Or should I start with FAR? I would study for 3.5 weeks have a week break (small review of first chapters with Ninja MC), another 3 weeks of studying, the 2nd week away (small review of last chapters with Ninja MC), return and spend 2 weeks doing a review and test Jan. 6th? If I don’t study FAR first I’ll do it as the last section.

I have Becker and Ninja for all (only Ninja for BEC). My Becker for AUD expires 01/27/18. So I have to get that done in Q1 if not Q4. That would be three weeks of studying to cover the 6 Becker chapters and 2 weeks of reviewing with Ninja.

Basically should I pick a shorter section with 5 weeks of studying seperated by a week break or FAR with 8 weeks of studying seperated by 2 week long breaks?

I know this is all over the place but what do you think? Any advice or suggestions?

Are you working full time? what are your strengths? I honestly think 8 weeks of FAR with two weeks of break are a bad idea. I work full time and have taken 4 months to study and only 1 week off and a two weekends due to family issues. FAR is the best to take first as it is a beast and is relevant for your future exams I took AUD first scored 84 while working full time with 6 weeks of heavy, dedicated studying 3-4 hours every night 8 hours every weekend day. I then took BEC in February with maybe 8 weeks of heavy studying I had grasping issues with some of the concepts so I probably went through things too much but came out with an 89. FAR as I said I have been studying for 3 -4 months especially heavy this last month and two weeks as I sit Friday. I still feel ill prepared and like I don't the material enough but at this point I am just gonna give it a try!

    AUD - 87
    BEC - 89
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
Waiting for FAR scores while trying to focus on REG

Is this your first exam? If so, I'd say take your time and study for FAR. Since you're not on the clock yet, you might as well take your time in learning the material and going into the exam feeling like you've at least covered everything. Then if you pass, you've gotten the exam with the most material out of the way.

I thought the easiest section to study for was AUD, and those MCQ don't take long to get through and can be done on the go since there are hardly any calculations. You might want to try that one.

If you REALLY want to test this window than I'd say BEC since it's the shortest book, although quite difficult, or audit because it is 99% conceptual and some find it very intuitive and straightforward, like me. If audit comes to you as easy as it did for me you could definitely knock it out in that amount of time.

    REG - 92 (1/17)

    BEC - 82 (2/17)

    AUD - 89 (5/17)

    FAR - 94 (9/17)

Rogers Elite + Becker mcqs/sims for all 4 exams

    WA State Ethics Exam - 83, 83, 90 (9/17)

    AICPA Ethics Exam - 95 (9/17)

    1-year of work - complete (11/18)

    Licensed WA State CPA
