In the final review stages for FAR and noticed that Partnership accounting was not covered in my Wiley materials. However, someone posted in the Wiley thread that Partnership accounting is still being tested in FAR. It is my understanding that it will be tested after 2018 Q2. Does anybody know what the deal is with this?

partnership accounting was not tested in Q417 or Q118, at least based on Becker materials and two tries at FAR….

Partnership accounting never officially went away – study what's in the NINJA Notes and it should be enough.

I did not see Partnership Accounting in the AICPA blueprints, so I skipped learning it for FAR. Up to you if you think you need to include it in your studies. Its not all that difficult of a concept to learn, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to know it.

@Troy, I took FAR in Q417 and I had a SIM with Partnership accounting so I would study it. Basically, study everything. 🙂
