1st full week of studying for my retake. I jumped right into Ninja MCQ, and about half way done. My average score is 78-the topics I am weak on are no surpise. I started to re-write my own notes today, but that was so de-motivating, I didn’t get very far. Tomorrow I need to re-write my notes (they are disjointed from my first test, I want to re-write them by topic in a new notebook). I really need to re-read my Becker book on acquisitions, equity method, and non-monetary exchanges so far. My plan is to get through the rest of the Ninja MCQ by end of next week, and re-write the rest of my notes. I then plan on printing out Ninja notes (didn’t utilize last time) and then jump into SIMS, while re-doing the missed MCQ in Ninja and continue re-reading the book. How are others approaching their re-take?

It's do or die baby! 3 more days until I walk into that testing center! I had an epiphany this morning as to what to do this weekend. Going to write down a “stream of consciousness” dump of information for each major topic, including journal entries and use that to tie everything together! I hope this approach works. Tonight I am reworking all of acquisitions MCQ in Becker, and focusing on intercompany transactions. I read through Pensions today and it came together for me, going to redo Pensions SIMS today too. I think I know a lot at this point (hopefully) just need to tie it all together and keep it in my head long enough to take the test…. will also take suggestions for some good music to pump me up.

@anyatver you can do it! I'm about to go over F5 MCQs today, and F6 MCQs tomorrow. Afterwards, it'll be a cumulative review by doing a set of 33 MCQs for F1-F10 for the rest of the time until my exam date.

Oh my, I'm feeling the pressure again. 🙁 My test is in a little over 20 days and I am panicking. Mostly because I am trying to get my mind around this score release thing. If I take it in April, then I won't get a score until august, and if I pay for another part to take in the next window, I won't get a score until august. So I am feeling stuck. I am not going to chicken out, I am going to keep studying for Mar 6. But I'm am really having a what should I do battle. p.s 3/6 is the only day left in March for my prometric center with a few days in April. 🙁

@Tncincy-take in March-don't back down, I know the extended score release is terrible. If I have to take it again in April, I won't know until end of June, and my BEC expires in July…Don't think about that though-focus on the next 20 days-plenty of days to get things done! Where are you at with your studying and how are you doing? Maybe focus on the topics that could be SIMS (analysis type tasks and topics) and then go back to everything else?

Good deal, I just need to calm down and focus. It just seems that time is really getting away. I can put in those sims as well.

@tncincy, I remember you mentioned somewhere in the forum that you scheduled your exam on March 6th? If that's true, then you have plenty of time, just have to be committed!

@anyatver, best of luck! I have seen you lately putting work on pensions, and it's admirable!

Meanwhile, I am sitting for AUD tomorrow, trying to tie everything together. Maybe read all of my notes then do batches of 30 MCQs.. would those be great ideas? I'd like to know what kind of prepping people do the day before exam. Keep grinding or take it easy?

FAR - 65 (Planned rematch on Apr/May 2018 'cuz CalBOA is turtle slow)
    AUD - 2/10/18 (Roger MCQ/TBS, 5 weeks prep) - Pending...
    REG - TBD
    BEC - TBD

@J King-the day before I would maybe do some studying but not too much, cause if it doesn't go well it will freak you out. Light MCQ, read notes. Think about anything at all you might want to look at beforehand. Good luck tomorrow!

I feel like I'm stuck on a hamster wheel and can't get off. I think I'm subconsciously stalling right now. My plan this week (and last week) was to double back to F1-F4 and touch up my notes and redo all mcq I got wrong the first time. I've only done F1 and F2. Still haven't done any progress tests or sims. I still have a total of 183 mcq for F3 and F4 to work. At this point, I think I'm just going to move on to F5. I've already listened to all of the lectures. I need to take notes and do work mcq.
Lets see if I can get through F5 this weekend. This process is emotionally draining. LOL

16 hours before my AUD exam.. gotta make sure I don't screw up with time management again this time..

Can't wait to get started reviewing FAR again lol. I have thought of an entirely new study routine that will incorporate flashcards only when I am not at home, and new study hours to meet (will really start waking up early). This will ONLY work if I stay committed. I can put in the hours, but I realized why I failed FAR is the study method (Drilled MCQ/SIMs a lot.. didn't read explanations carefully.. barely touched textbook.. poor notetaking) 🙁

Also, I just purchased Gleim TB for FAR. Textbook will be delivered on 15th. However, I'm kind of uncertain where to start reviewing? Do I start from scratch or jump right into Gov't/NFP, since those were the areas I never expected to be heavily tested..

@JKing, good luck on your test tomorrow. You should only be focusing on AUD right now instead of worrying about how to begin with your next study approach:) Get rid of any distractions until you finish that section.
Though it’s good to begin with Gov/NFP. As you wrap up and get close to the testing date, you can repeat studying for those 2 parts after covering other topics.

Hamster wheel is right! I was re-doing Acquisition MCQ in Becker yesterday, got stuck on intercompany transactions, specifically inventory-I think I get it now, but have to get it down pat for Monday! 🙂 Opted for watching the Olympics yesterday after about an 1.5 of studying… 🙁 Not going to let it happen today….
