1st full week of studying for my retake. I jumped right into Ninja MCQ, and about half way done. My average score is 78-the topics I am weak on are no surpise. I started to re-write my own notes today, but that was so de-motivating, I didn’t get very far. Tomorrow I need to re-write my notes (they are disjointed from my first test, I want to re-write them by topic in a new notebook). I really need to re-read my Becker book on acquisitions, equity method, and non-monetary exchanges so far. My plan is to get through the rest of the Ninja MCQ by end of next week, and re-write the rest of my notes. I then plan on printing out Ninja notes (didn’t utilize last time) and then jump into SIMS, while re-doing the missed MCQ in Ninja and continue re-reading the book. How are others approaching their re-take?

I am slowly losing my motivation for FAR and ready to throw in the towel and start Auditing next week. My live online class starts next week, but there is no way I can study for both right now. So I will have to do the self study for Audit.

I don’t know why I can’t stay motivated with this section. I guess it’s the process of writing notes before starting the MCQ. It takes soooooooo long to take notes.

Maybe I’ll switch things up a little to review the modules, do mcq and then take notes based questions I get wrong.
I need a better attitude. LOL

Taking the retake the first week of April if all goes well. My clock hasn't started yet so I'm studying at a ‘reasonable' pace… last time I got so burnt out from studying that I couldn't even review.

    FAR 55, 76!

    REG 68, 85!

    AUD 74, 77!

    BEC 86!

@jgabbay – I'm with you. I feel burnt out too. I've been studying FAR since July 2017.

Just took FAR it was insane. I know I did pretty good on MCQs but the sims part were way too long I ran out of time. Hopefully I did enough to pass

@jiantang25: good luck! Get some rest! If you passed you're done. What a nice feeling.

@jiantang25 did Becker prepare you well for the exam.

@Sonny- Becker did do pretty good on preparing me for the exam. It’s just that FAR is such a big section it’s diffcult to remember all of the small little details. You just try to get points where you can. Especially if u get hit with a bunch of DBS on sims. It’s nearly impossible to finish it.

Took FAR yesterday and not sure what to feel. It was my first test. I thought I did well on MCQs but didn't notice a huge different from the first testlet to the second testlet. (the second one I did flag a few more though)… The sims were definitely long but all felt very manageable for me, which scares me. I know i bombed one of them and feel iffy with 2, and good on 4-5… I left feeling okay and I think that is not good sign… hmm

@NPH3-if it's any consolation, I can never tell whether the testlet gets harder, passed 3 out of 4 that way…. You might have been well-prepared…Move onto the next one, and put it out of your mind until score release!
