This really f*&^@!% sucks, I’m so distraught. I’ve been doing well with my scores, improving each time, but this time I went from a 66 down to a 62.

I don’t know what to do at this point, this was my fourth time taking FAR.

    *The score breakdown is garbage.

what is your study routine? did you hammer down all the MCQs from your test bank? Have you passed any part yet?

Haven't passed anything yet, been focused on FAR. 56, 60, 66 and now a 62. How does that happen???????

I've hammered down thousands of MCQs, I'm to the point where I'm starting to remember answers to questions. I've got flashcards of all journal entries that I repeatedly go through. Ninja trending score was in the 70's for MCQs.

According to the score breakdown, my overall Multiple Choice score was comparable to those who passed but my SIMS are weaker. So I am to assume I'm good on MCQ's and that my SIMS score was that bad to the point where it sank my overall score?

when going through multiple choice you need to understand

      why

a question is wrong or right. you start memorizing answers and you will never pass

most learning from mqc can relate to sims but still need to understand sim questions and how to research

Seems like you have done a lot of work. I understand its frustrating at this point. Yeah I agree with Some day that you need to understand the explanations of the MCQs. When you do a MCQ, repeat the calcuation even if you know the answer. That helps refresh the knowledge point. SIMs are hard to prep. Most if not all study materials provide relatively simple SIMs but the exam is hard on that. But that applied to everyone.

Find your weak topics and focus on those. During the exam, don't rush through MCQs. They are too important. It's ok if you can't finish. I had 30 mins for the last testlet and ended up not finishing.

I know people retake 5-6 times on FAR. It's hard. You will get there!

@Animalwithin I took FAR FIVE (5) times. I got my license number from the CBA on Monday…you CAN do it! You probably need to change materials…what are you using to study with? I started with Wiley and my first FAR score was 57. Then I supplemented with Ninja and got 73, then 57 (again, ran out of time like the first one I took), then 72. Bought the test bank for FAR only from Gleim, and passed with a 75. FAR is hard. I scored REG 86, AUD 79, and BEC 80 but FAR for me was by far the worst.

I was very fortunate to not have to retake the others that I passed, but it was so close. If I hadn't passed in January I would have had to retake my passed BEC exam. So keep pushing! And really consider switching up your study materials.

I would suggest practicing sims along with your MCQ! that helped train my mind on how I was going to approach a simulation and how to take in a lot of information thrown in at once and recognize what topic is being asked and answer based on my knowledge. I agree sims can be simple in the study materials but supplemented with watching the sim lecture explanation could help you out! you can do this! its about finding how your mind learns and takes in information best!

I got my score report finally, but it's totally blank? Like they didn't fill out where my trouble areas were.

Anyone else ever get this before? Just tells me I failed. lol

    @Some_day
I'm not memorizing anything. It's just when you keep going over the same questions, you start remembering what you've already seen.

@Puppykoala @TerriSilva @KeepPushing Thank you for the words of encouragement. I'm using predominantly Ninja at this point, although I have Roger as my secondary. I feel neither prepares me well for SIMs. I haven't received a SIM from either of them that matches the difficulty of some of the SIMs on the actual exam. I do feel solid with respect to MCQs though and I definitely don't have an issue with time. Yes I do still have weak points with respect to MCQ's but at this point I'm not sure if MCQ's are bringing my score down. I've always struggled with SIMs but I don't know how to prepare for them at this point.

@Animalwithin I felt the same way and Gleim did it. Their sims are HARD! It worked for me and it worked for another candidate I advised to use them, and she took the exam and passed it before I did with it.

I retook FAR 3 times (58,65,80) sims being my weakness. For my successful retake, I did cumulative mcqs 20 at a time for :m w f & on t thrs i read over all my notes. sat would be a mcq marathon day (15 min break every hour). What I think finally helped was just relying on the AL for the sims because I for sure wouldn't be able to memorize every single detail of FAR but I know I'll be able to look that sh!t up during test time.

You probably know the FAR material well but just need to tweak your test taking approach.

@TerriSilva I will definitely purchase Gleim's questions and go through those for this round. Thank you for the advice!

@Stevie I do something similar with MCQs with marathon sessions on Saturdays and Sundays. I guess I just have to do marathon sessions for SIMs too.
