    Hi All,

I will be taking the FAR exam on the 19th, exactly 7 days from today. Over the last 10 days I’ve been doing NINJA MCQ’s with not much focus on sims besides my sims throughout the Wiley course. I plan on beginning to work on sims in the next day or so, but the question is: how many sims do you practice to make it worthwhile?

I know in the past not many people really practiced with the sims and from recent posts, I see that nothing can really prepare you for them. I plan on completing some through Wiley, but I really don’t know how much practice on the sims will actually be useful.

    AUD- 82
    REG- 86
    FAR- 86
    BEC- 88

I remember doing about 30 the day before my AUD exam-I thought they helped. I practiced a ton of SIMS for REG as well, and that didn't help. I passed both, but just didn't find SIMS as beneficial in REG…I would say maybe try to do a DRS one if you find it in Wiley or better yet, go through AICPA sample test-they have 5 sims which should give you a good flavor of what might be on the test. I usually practice a lot of SIMS, and for FAR, i actually plan on doing that as well this time, since it is 50% of the grade and those can really throw you for a loop.

Practice DRS and do sims on big topics like lease, bond, cash flow, acquisition, par and cost method, etc.
