Thanks for starting Q3 group. Q2 ppl are way ahead of the game and I can't contribute much there since I am only barely starting. But I'll still be posting my problems there since they all know what they are doing :/

Planning to take it in July. Date still not decided. It will depend on how prepared I feel by mid June.

Woot! Quarter 3! I am taking it July 17th! I still feel SO behind but I am pushing through. I have sadly started to rewrite my own notes… which I hate doing but it really really helps!

July is my busy month at work (corporate tax) so I am taking FAR in August. Took it in April and made a 72 🙁 I've already been studying like crazy (I've done 500 questions in the last week and a half) and I'm hoping I will retain most of it by August!!

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 76
    REG - 83
    FAR - 72 RE-MATCH AUG 2014

I haven't officially signed up for FAR yet, but I'm about 31% through the material according to CPAexcel. my school is taking forever to get my degree and grades posted to my transcripts and sent. I'm getting kind of nervous because I planned on taking it in the beginning of July so I'd have plenty of time to study for AUD at the end of August, but slots are going to fill up and I'm not going to be able to take it till later in July and that's going to throw everything off. come on, school. stop screwing me.

plus my CPAexcel schedule has me working towards taking FAR in the beginning of july, if it gets pushed to mid-july I'm going to have weeks of nothing and I'll end up forgetting everything. I guess at that point I'd just do two weeks straight of MCQs…

@dragnets – that's what I would do. Use the last couple of weeks to review. I use CPAExcel also and it helped me LOTS on the first three exams. I tried to get by with only using the Wiley Test Bank on FAR this last time but it didn't work out so well.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 76
    REG - 83
    FAR - 72 RE-MATCH AUG 2014

I am currently trying to bust through the first section on the Ninja mcqs to get to the adaptive learning phase. Well today is my day off. I think my weekend plans are study first thing Saturday for about 3 hours. Girls told me I studied too long on weekends so I am taking some advice. Then Sunday study as my hubby does his homework for about 3 hours so I can lounge around in the morning. Then back at it Monday morning at 4:30 hopefully. I am definitely relying a lot on the ninja mcq at this point. I am not even watching the videos and so far I feel pretty good. Obviously I have a lot of improvement to go but its better then watching the videos again.

@L stevens I think some people can be surprised how much of FAR they already know, because it is basically an intermediate accounting course. I've learned to let some things be, and don't bog down your brain redoing things u already get, it's too easy to confuse yourself with this amount of info. So i def think you can overdo studying, especially if u already get a lot of the info

Anyway i'm currently up @starbucks studying. at least to 11. Hoping to study for at least 6 hours tomorrow, and sunday. I really need the practice because I notice my brain checking out after maybe 2 hours which isn't good for when i actually take the exam

calling it a night. Definitely did better on bonds this time around. I was not able to do all the 58 MCQs but still satisfied with my progress. I am planning to review F2-F4 for the next 3 days before I move on to F6.

    Hi all!!

I'm taking Far July 9th, using CPAExcel and NINJA supplements. I feel so far behind from you guys! I am working on reading through both books/taking lots of notes before looking at any MCQs/SIMs. I'm on the 2nd book, on the consolidations, so much detail!! ahh.

    FAR: 79
    AUD: 81
    REG:5/29/15
    BEC:85

Using CPA Excel, NINJA notes and audio, NINJA MCQs
