    Hello All,

I’m about to begin my journey studying for the exam and am planning to take FAR in about 8 weeks. I plan to use only the Ten Point Combo.

For those of you that have only used the Ten Point Combo for the exam, could you tell me if the below is a good plan of attack as well as any other advice you can give? (I currently work full-time) Thank you!

    Week 1-5
    -Read entire Ninja book
    -Listen to Ninja audio
    -Copy Ninja notes
    -Rewrite Ninja notes again

    Week 6-8
    -Ninja MCQ & Sims
    -Review Ninja Notes
-Go through Ninja Blitz and Ninja Plus

    Review material: 100% NINJA

    FAR - Exam on 7/8/17
    AUD - TBD
    REG - TBD
    BEC - TBD

I am also putting together a ~2 month plan for FAR with just 10 Point Combo (have some extra notes from Becker but by and large just Ninja) to take the exam around MDW in late May. I'll let you know what I come up with but I can tell you off the bat I wouldn't go 5 weeks without MCQ – I think the general consensus is regardless of how you study best, doing a ton of MCQ is the best bang for your buck. As you start molding your plan, I would consider putting a bunch of MCQ time in the first few weeks and some of the re-writing of notes to happen on the back-end as well as a way of reinforcement. Just quick thoughts for now.

I might be wrong but I had thought I had read somewhere that it was best to get through the book and do all your note taking first before going through all of the sims and MCQs

Thanks Diablo! Keep me updated on what you come up with!

I didn't exclusively use the 10 point combo but agree with Diablo, 3 weeks for MCQs may not be enough time. There are about 1700 MCQs questions and like 70 SIMs. If you think you can do them and have time for a final review then you're in good shape. For me, the MCQs take a long time. I can crank out 100 in a day, but most days it is around 35-70, out of those 35-70, maybe I'm only getting 70% of them correct which means I'm actually only completing 24-50 questions a day. But…don't use me as a benchmark, I hear other people can do 350/day 🙂

I think you're correct about the book, videos and notes @SONGSKIEE But if I were you, I would test drive some MCQs just to see how it goes.

IDK if this was Jeff or a person on the A71 forum, but I read to rewrite your notes the week of the exam too.

    Good luck!

I'm going to be the person who says "I finished even though..." not the person who says "I didn't finish because..."

    B - 77, 76

    A - 57, 64, 72, 76!

    R - 78, 72, 78!!! DONE

    F - 54, 73, 71, 64, 69, 76!

On average for FAR using the Ten Point Combo, does anyone know how long one should be taking to “nail the concepts” (read the ninja book) and “take intense notes”?
