    Hi Everyone,

    Good afternoon!

I am currently studying for FAR but due to family affairs and slacking off in the summer sadly, I could please use some advice. I’m currently in chapter 4 of Becker (10 chapters) and had my exam scheduled for September 10th which less than two weeks. I don’t think I’ll be able to even get close to completing the book prior to September 10th and am wondering if there is any point of me sitting? Normally, I like to sit even if I’m not prepared but with this exam I feel like I as might as well push it back. The one thing bothering me though is that this is hopefully my final exam and if I don’t sit September 10th, I only have 2 attempts to pass FAR in total (Lord willing it doesn’t take that many) until my BEC score drops off end of March. I was thinking pushing it to October, but I was wondering if I’m better off just using the entire 4th quarter window to restudy / drill MCQ’s and sit at the end of the quarter instead.

Thank you so much all for the feedback.

Take it at the end of a quarter. I made it through about 50-60% of the material (also had stuff going on – side projects, work, two vacations) and when I realized I wouldn't complete it, I just did Ninja MCQ non stop and wrote down the answers. Much more efficient than the material because you learn the type of questions you'll be asked.

    I passed with an 84.

    AUD - 95
    BEC - 91
    FAR - 84
    REG - NINJA in Training

AndreA… I never really agree with this advice. Aside from the $200 lost, a dip in confidence is not worth risking.

    AUD - NINJA in Training
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - 77
    REG - NINJA in Training

@Amanda, I think I will try doing just mcg's because trying to get through the materials is driving me nuts. I don't know why I didn't think to do the questions with the book. But hey something is better than nothing. I just don't feel like I am getting anything done. Not a good weekend for me…..trying this today.

Hey guys, so I took FAR September 10th and it was definitely super tough. I didn't complete all of the Becker material and honestly am not expecting the best but hey maybe I get lucky somehow. I already began restudying and am already through Chapter 2.

@DJD That was originally what I was thinking, what's the point in taking it if I don't like my odds. However, aside from money potentially lost I'm really glad I sat. I kind've felt out the exam and treated it like a mock exam to be honest. I don't expect a confidence dip because I didn't plan on passing to be honest, and if I somehow do even better. I've already restarted studying (while waiting on score result) and I think the exam attempt kind've refocused me in a strange way. I'm not a fan of wasting a quarter attempt while on the clock no matter how prepared you are so I'm glad I did end up sitting with the advice I received here.

    Thanks!!
