I take FAR for the third time tomorrow morning. I am nervous because I really want to pass it this time! Any advice for studying tonight? FAR just overwhelms me because of the sheer amount of material. My last attempt was a 67. Thanks!

This is what worked for me – Study your ass off, then show up at the testing center and feel like you haven't studied for the test at all. You should feel like the material is in another language. With 7 minutes left, you should realize that you have 2 1/2 SIM's that you haven't even started on and then you should fill in the blanks really fast just so you can say you finished. Leave Prometric feeling totally dejected and know, without any doubt, that you just bombed the test.

Then in a few weeks you will check your score and see that you've made an 84!

But really, read over Governmental and know which expenses go in which funds and memorize the journal entries in governmental as well.

bhunt815 – that's how I was with Reg and scored an 85!! I wasn't running out on time but discovered a tab that i didn't read. But far wasn't that way for me. Retaking it in 4 days.
kiwi9990 – take a deep breathe, there's not much you can cram. Do some simulations and review concepts.

Take sleeping pills tonight at 8 PM since you probably wont be able to sleep tonight. Also, I review my own notes for an hour before walking into prometrics, I am sure that has helped me land few extra points on the test.

@Claudia408, Louisiana doesn't give you a score breakdown unless you fail so I don't know how I did on the individual sections.

    1. Pray
    2. If you have been studying consistently up to this point take the night off and relax
    3. If there's a sim you don't know the answer to FILL IN ZEROS..doing this put me over the edge. I filled in close to 20 zeros.

Were you able to finish the exam the last 2 times? Did you run out of time?

If you tend to run out of time, my recommendation is to plan on the 1st testlet taking less time than the 2nd and 3rd ones since if you are doing well, the 2nd and 3rd ones will be hard. Make sure you have at least 90 minutes, preferably 105 minutes for the Sims. Tackle the Sims that look easy to you first and leave the hard or lengthy ones for last.

As for tonight, maybe just flip through your textbook and review the financial statements in government and NFP. Review the names of the statements and their basic format.

Thanks, everyone! I came out of the test today super brain dead. I guess I will just have to wait and see! Unsure how I feel about it…you never can tell with these exams though.
