    Hey Everyone,

I have been studying for FAR for about 4 months. I work full time and I have kids so I study for about 2 hours a night and 8-12 hours on weekends, taking a Saturday off occasionally for family time.

I have a 94% on the Wiley Course questions. Averaging 72% on the Wiley Test bank, and I’ve answered about 80% of the questions on the Wiley phone app with about 10% incorrect.

I’m not doing shamefully bad on the m/c questions but I am bombing the practice tests. I got a 56, 59, and 59 on the first three practice tests attempted. The third one I did skip a SIM because my kids wouldn’t stop screaming so I may have gotten a bit better of score on the last one had I finished..but not much better.

What is everyone’s experience with FAR using Wiley? Does it seem possible to pass the exam with my track record? I scheduled my test for the November 7th. My plan is to focus study on my weakest areas and keep pounding away at the questions.

I’m getting pretty burned out. I’m hoping you all will have some positive stories to share!

I never did any practice exams on Wiley. If you passed the other 3 on the first try then you will probably pass FAR also. So you aren't using Ninja?

    FAR- 88- 6/16- (Ninja Avg. 74%)
    REG- 89- 7/16- (Ninja Avg. 77%)
    AUD- 95- 8/16- (Ninja Avg. 81%)
    BEC- 82- 9/16- (Ninja Avg. 75%)

    Finally licensed.

    REG - July 2016 - 89

I would wonder if you've started to memorize questions with such a big discrepancy between practice MCQs and practice exams?

That being said, I never did the practice exams. I also never re-did MCQs, cause I would have been going from memory of the right answer not memory of how to do it. So, I can't really give you any feedback on how my scores compared to yours. But, I can tell you that I used Wiley products and passed all 4. You've passed 3 so far, just 1 more to go! 🙂

With the concern of possibly having memorized the practice questions, I'd just suggest that when you're doing practice questions, make sure you know why the right answer is right (can work through the problem, logically think through the non-mathematical ones, etc.), not just which answer is right. And/or, go back through the ones you missed on the practice exams (it shows you which ones doesn't it?) and see if you can find a recurring theme to the missed questions – specific topic that trips you up on the practice exams, specific type of questions (like style of them asking), etc.

@ circadian malfunction- No, I bought the Wiley Platinum and so far it seems to have done the job. On the other sections I was scoring 85% or above on all my practice exams which is why I am freaking out a bit!

Thank you @Lilla. I don't think I've memorized the answers or I wouldn't be doing so bad. I was kind of hoping to hear others had passed FAR with low practice test scores. I think I may focus on the SIMS for a week and see how that brings up my averages. It's been a long year of studying while working full time and dealing with a house full of kids. I'm probably just drained!
