I took my Audit exam yesterday and after a quick google search I found this community and thought I’d share my test experience after reading everyone else’s. It seems the more feedback we get, the better off we’ll all be.

Testlet 1: I thought the questions were fairly straight-forward and I flagged 4-5 of them to go back and review at the end. I was able to get at least all of my questions down to 2 answers, for all questions in my MCQs.

Testlet 2: Right from the start the wording changed in my questions and I could tell that the difficulty significantly increased. I ended up flagging 10-12 questions and once again shaved them down to two answers.

Testlet 3: The difficulty definitely went down. With that said, I may have only missed one or two questions in this set. Much easier. Does that mean I bombed the second set or did I just get lucky with my questions? It did go back to easier wording. You don’t go from Hard to EASY, right? There’s just Medium and Hard?

Simulations: I had only one research question, nailed it. I was given simplistic concepts, but the way they asked them and the way the answers were written in the boxes were worded to be confusing. I think I properly filled in about 60-70% of my Simulation boxes that were non-research. I really focused on MCQs for studying (used Wiley CPA Excel) and figured I could apply those concepts to the simulations.

I was shocked about some of the subjects that were not even touched on my test. There are things that I spent a lot of time on that I never saw a questions for. I may have lucked out in 2-3 things not being tested.

I am an Audit Manager by profession, I have been out of school for 7 years and this is my first test. I figured I’d start with what I do for a living. Any thoughts on how you think I may have done are appreciated. I realize it’s all speculation. Feel free to ask me questions, I realize we can’t talk about actual content on the exam.

I wouldn't sweat the difficulty of the Q's for the sake that something difficult to me could be cake for you.

SIMS – I believe that's how they get you , wording. I left REG with thinking the concepts weren't overly bad, it was just tricky wording.
