    Hi guys,

I was considering buy the Wiley test bank for AUD and signed up for the free 24 hr trial. While going through the trial, I only saw the different sections listed below but no subsections. Is this how the actual test bank is?
I was hoping that I would have the option to focus on specific subsections rather than just braod section.
For example, there is an Auditing with Technology section, but I’m not seeing a option to drill down to smaller sections.

For those who have used it before I would really like some feedback.
Please remember that I’m only referring to the stand alone test bank option and not the full all inclusive package.

    Thanks

I did the 2 week trial for REG and they didn't break down the test bank into subsections. Why didn't you do the 2 week trial? That's enough time for you to run through the whole test bank and sims.

Thanks. I thought the two week Trial was for the full package itself. I'm really looking for a test bank as a supplement but I need something that break down into subsection so that I can focus on specific sections rather than an entire section.
All the reviews I've read for Wiley talks about the information being bite size and small sections. I assumed that the testbank would have small sections also.

Do you know of any programs out there that does that excluding the Ninja MCQ?
I'm looking solely for testbanks not an entire package.

I bought the Wiley Silver package. After failing a few attempts, I ended up focusing on running through hundreds of MCQ's solely. I definitely wish I hadn't wasted the money on the actual Wiley course and just bought the WTB. Also I used the Ninja Audio. That combo worked great for me.

@bobby- Gleim breaks each part into subsections. I bought their test bank for my REG retake and highly recommend it. It's expensive, but they have the best sims and their mcq's are probably the hardest of any review course.

@repect – Thanks for that. I will check out the Gleim free demo. I was looking at both but I saw the wiley cost 150 vs 250 for gleim.
I saw many people complaining about the questions being way more difficult than the actual CPA questions and that it would slow them down because of how long it took to go through the questions.
    I'm currently preparing for AUD.

Can you give some more feedback on your thoughts on the Gleim questions? My aim is to get as much practice as possible.
Would really appreciate your feedback on Gleim.

I'm not sure whats happening but I've tried to type a recommendation at lease 10 different times but for some reason its never posting.
One of the best if not the best tutorial videos I came across were on university. The site have good resources for those who have the textbook but you dont need to buy their textbook. Navigate to the book tab, scroll to the bottom to where you see videos. The videos cover each of the topics outlined in the book in small bite size chunks. They cover almost all the most important skills you will need as an accountant.

Also as bonus, one of the most important technique I've learned from that site and what I share with others and highly recommend is called “How to Flatten, Repeat, and Fill Labels Down in Excel”

Thats a live saver and I guarantee at some point in your career you will need it. I just which I knew it earlier.

@bobby- Their mcq's are more difficult and some get into too much detail with questions that will never be asked on the exam. If you can tell which ones appear to be like that, then just brush them off and keep going. With REG they'd ask questions about specific phaseouts and there's no way you can memorize all of them on top of everything else. You shouldn't have a problem with them slowing you down because AUD is mostly conceptual. You're not going to get questions with lenghty calculations or formulas you need to use.

I purchased Gleim mainly for the sims because I bombed them on my first REG exam. Their sims are just as hard as the exam and the software is almost identical, including the AL. I feel it's the reason I passed my retake. With the sims being worth 50% of the grade I think it's important to have good ones to practice.

Thanks Respect, hopefully this is my final question on Gleim. Do they have the type of questions that you answer, the quesiton is graded and then you move to next one, or is it more like you answer a group of questions ( for example 20) and then you have to wait until answering all to get the grading?

You get feedback right away with an answer explanation. They also have explanations for wrong answers when you click on the answer choice. You can skip over questions and answer them in any order you choose, similar to the exam. There's an adaptive learning feature like Ninja, but I didn't use it much because I'd constantly get the overkill questions and felt like it wasn't benefiting me.

If I remember when I get home I'll post a screenshot of what it looks like.

I have Wiley platinum and I wasn't thrilled with their test bank. It didn't provide topics by subsections and explanations for right/wrong answers are very poor and short. On top of that, they don't update their test bank that ofter and thre are a lot of wrong answers and typos there.
I liked Ninja way more the Wiley TB. And it has way more questions to practice than Wiley (especially when it comes to FAR govt and NFP sections). And Ninja mqc explanations are amazing.

@CPA_Chick, thanks for your feedback. I've read a lot of comments here advocating Wiley testbank but I was really shocked when I noticed it did not have subsections. How are you suppose to hone in on areas that your are truly struggling with?
A lot of people talk about the size of the testbank but many complain that its a lot of repetitive stuff and now I'm learning from you that “don’t update their test bank that ofter and thre are a lot of wrong answers and typos there”

I'm looking forward to see what others say. Thanks again for taking the time to respond to my question.

Another thing that was very off is that once you start hammering mcqs there, the scores on different devices would be different. Let's say I did 500 questions on my normal desktop in Chrome and my score average is 70. Then I logged in from my phone on lunch to do more mcqs and it showed the score of 65 and completed mcqs of 450. So I tested it and logged in from my work comp in explorer and in chrome and it was off too. I eve contacted their IT support regarding it and they couldn't provide me with the answer as to why.
