Feelings after Taking FAR

I just finished taking FAR and I honestly am not sure how to feel about it. I studied with Becker and did well on the practice exams (88% and 84%), and I felt ok about the exam, but I’ve read that a lot of people who think they passed, and then find out that they failed. I’m really nervous and now I feel like I failed.

There is no way to know how you did until that score release…Just try to focus on the fact that for now, it's over!

As @anyatver said. What happened, happened..no point in beating yourself. Not like the world is going to end if you fail.

If there was nothing foreign to you on the exam I'm sure you passed… there was some shit that was briefly noted in Becker that popped up as a SIM.

People who feel good about the exam and end up failing just haven't put in the time and effort to understand the concepts and get to the bottom of what is being asked. Based on your practice scores and how you feel about the exam, @Average Joe, I would focus on the next one. Don't let negativity get to you.

It's good to hear becker at least covered everything that popped up on your exam!

    Becker for all

    AUD - 87 (Q2 2017)
    FAR - 97 (Q3 2017)
    REG - 95 (Q3 2017)
    BEC - 98 (Q3 2017)

My fifth and final testlet had two simulations that were new variations of topics and I struggled with them. Outside of those two simulations, I felt everything else was manageable. I felt good about most of the MCQ and all the other simulations I knew most of what was being asked, though I still could have screwed them up. So hopefully I got at least a 75.

I totally understand due to the long wait ahead for the scores to release. Just pray over it and stay focused on the next exam.

I'll never forget the emptiness I felt after taking FAR. Not because I thought I failed, but because I just didn't know. After I took BEC (my first test), I felt relieved, because it wasn't as scary as I imagined and I thought I passed. With FAR, I thought it was OK, but I was still leaning toward a fail, because you can't be too cocky with these exams. If it helps, I scored a 75% on my Wiley practice test, so your odds are pretty good, I'd say.

Try to relax. I found great joy after taking FAR, because it meant I didn't have to listen to Ninja Audio (no offense if Jeff reads this) on my drive into work anymore.

    Good luck 🙂

@AverageJoe how much time did you allocate per testlet? What was your timing strategy going in

@xyz107 I spent 45 minutes each on testlets one and two and I spent 50 minutes each on testlets three, four and five (though I ended up getting to testlet five with a little over an hour to spare)
