Anyone know how I can find out how many hours of continuing education are needed for my first license renewal in CA? I have read somewhere that I would be getting a letter with this information soon after receiving CPA certificate but this was not the case.

This is what I've found from the California Board of Accountancy (CBA) website at https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/licensees/renew-ce.shtml

“For questions regarding license renewal or CE requirements, please refer to the information below or contact the CBA's Renewal and Continuing Competency Unit by e-mail or by telephone at (916) 561-1702.”

So, you can try calling the CBA's “Renewing and Continuing Competency Unit” at 916-561-1702
or by email at renewalinfo@cba.ca.gov
