    Hi Everyone!

I took BEC yesterday and was extremely nervous for the test. I had a very hard time staying motivated to study the material, partially because I’m burned out from FAR and partially because the material was particularly boring for me. Also, I had seen SO many people talking about how difficult/terrible the test was on this forum and on a Facebook group.

However, I generally thought the test was very fair and even a little easy compared to other sections? I did use all 4 hours and found one SIM to be brutal (took me about 45 minutes to complete), and the second set of MCQs were definitely harder than the first. But the first set of MCQs seemed simple, the other three SIMS seemed very simple, and even the written communication topics were very broad and easy to write about.

Because I feel the way that I do and have seen all the comments others have made about the difficulty of the exam, I am wondering if I could of been so completely under prepared that I just didn’t understand the questions and their tricks?? Did anyone else have a similar experience in this quarter?

Glad to see someone else took BEC early in 3rd Q. I take BEC tomorrow 7/6.
Like you, I have scoured the forum and found that a majority of people felt blindsided by BEC's difficulty. I will post tomorrow after the exam with my assessment!

Ever been so frustrated you skipped anger and went straight to laughing like a lunatic...........

Taking the exam tomorrow…I'm kinda struggling with modules 6 and 7 on B2…hoping it's just in the MCQ and not the SIMS!

So, the party line is….you need to know everything. And this is true. However, if I could give any advice it would be to be able to do cost in your sleep, i.e. variance analysis, job costing etc…..

I took the exam on the 8th and had a similar experience as you. This was a retake for me and this time around I had a completely different feel to the test then when I took it in May. In May all of my Sims were difficult and WC were intricate detailed questions. This time around the Sims seemed a lot easier and I ended up with an hour for WC. I think it all just depends on what you get really.

Just took the exam. By far the hardest exam compared to the other 3. I passed the other 3 first try. This one, I made almost all guesses on the first testlet. Second testlet was easier which means I didn’t do well on the first. Full of computations on the first testlet. I studied using Rogers and was able to pass the other 3. Really sad right now.

Hi, what type of calc you received in the first testlet? How about the sims? What you recommend to drill?
