Hey guys. My exam seemed to have gone ok but it didnt seem like my testlets got harder (third was more intensive). Could it be that i was more prepared? I really studied the formulas like crazy and was able to go through the calculations with no problems. I had to guess on several theory questions but other than that the exam appeared to be the usual not sure how i did. Im just nervous bc i didnt walk out thinking i bombed it.

To those who passed and didnt notice a dramatic change in testlet difficulty please help calm my nerves.

I can't judge them anymore.. Not sure anyone can.

I failed BEC with a 71.. my score report said I was weaker in all MCQ and stronger in WC. I'm not sure how I can get a 71 being weaker in all the MCQ even if I got 15/15 on WC.. The questions seemed Med Hard Med to me but again.. No one can really judge it. Just gotta be patient and see. Good Luck!

P.S. It really effing sucks that I had by 4 points…… hate these exams.

The CPA journey is truly a nightmare.

@JayManBro I feel you. I hate these exams with a passion! Know how you feel I barely failed reg my first attempt with a 73. Hang in there! Hopefully I won't experience that again with BEC. At this point I wish I can let go of judging if it was hard or medium but easier said than done.

My first attempt at BEC I felt like the questions got noticeably harder and I was quite honestly shocked when I got my failing score–my second attempt at BEC I came home and cried because my second two testletts seemed BEYOND easy- like 1+1= what easy… was convinced I had failed. Remember its not hard if you have studied for it / know it. Good Luck and try not to worry about the degree of difficulty (I know easier said then done 🙂 )

Do not stress if your testlets never get harder!!!! My testlets never got hard, I had mainly one sentence, short conceptuals and several easy calculations and I passed. I flagged 3 questions on each testlet. It was ridiculous how easy some questions were. But I guess after Ninja MCQs it just seemed easy. Don’t get me wrong, there were a lot of “you know it or you don’t” questions.

I got my life back and it's beautiful!!!

Yeah, by my last exam, I stopped trying to guess how hard it was becoming. Just believe in your studying. I really thought I didn't pass REG but knew that I didn't know how to restudy. So I would just grab a beer or relax and wait until the scores come out.

Not sure if it violates disclosure stuff, but would you say you got more calculation than conceptual questions? I am the opposite – I feel pretty confident with theory but get the 70 thousand formulas mixed up.

But yes, per the AICPA, it's possible to pass with even 3 medium testlets. You have to do well enough on the first two, then knock the third one out of the park.

@Bondvillain, I think I may have asked you before….what did u you do differently to go from a 73 to 80. I thought I passed BEC walking out…instead got a 74
