Hi all, I need your help on this case.

For those of you who don’t have work experience, how do you introduce yourself to recruiters?
I just passed four exams and I do not have work experience.
I’m assuming I am certified, not licensed CPA?
So, when I’m introducing myself to recruiters, is it OK if I say, “I’m newly certified CPA in XYZ state”?

    Thank you in advance!

Most states do not have “certified” CPAs and I wouldn't claim to be one unless (a) I was 100% positive my state recognized such a designation and (b) I was qualified to use it.

Hmm.. certified means that you have the actual license. By recruiters, are you talking about public firm recruiters or just your average recruiter from anywhere?

Most public firm recruiters know what they're looking for and you need to state that you have all the exams passed (pending experience) on your resume.

When you introduce yourself, say your name and that you're a CPA candidate and recently passed all the exams. In addition to that you're looking for work experience to fulfill that requirement.

mla is right… a few states have non-practicing cpa status until you get the experience but majority do not- your best bet is to stick with introducing yourself with I have passed all four sections

And they ask me why I drink

    BEC 71, 82
    AUD 75
    REG 75
    FAR 61, 69, 83

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2
