Frustrated with Becker’s FAR MCQs

Is it just me or do Becker’s FAR MCQs frustrate you guys as well? Like I keep getting 10-12 line questions that basically demotivate the crap out of me and I don’t even feel like studying anymore. I remember certain sections of BEC were like that too. The MCQs on the actual exam are barely 2-3 lines. I just feel Becker is making it worse for us with these questions that never show up on the exam, and wasting valuable time. Thoughts?

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 78
    REG - 80
    DONE!!

It's not so much a waste of valuable time at all, because a lot of the exam can come down to time management, which Becker really helps you nail down. When you get to the point that you can run the Becker calculations quickly, the calculations on the exams will come that much more naturally and allot you significantly more time for the simulations/harder MCQ's.

I've recently responded to several posts like this where they were really demoralized and frustrated with the Becker FAR MCQs… obviously, they are not the best representation of the actual exam questions, but I strongly believe that I was able to pass FAR because of these Becker questions…

Yes – most of the Becker FAR MCQs provide you with unnecessary facts and numbers trying to throw you off, but the key to answering such questions is to just read the last sentence of the question to see what the question is REALLY asking. For instance, I remember there were some questions in equity method (consolidation) unit, which had several sentences, but could be answered promptly if you read the last part of the entire question.

Of course, not all questions are like this, but you start seeing the patter in these MCQs. Don't let them get to you. Just be glad that they are actually more complicated and difficult than the actual questions. I know this is not the answer you're looking for, but you'll pass FAR. Just keep practicing these questions.

Thanks for the much needed motivation guys! FAR just seems way harder than BEC and AUD to me.
