Hi guys! I just started studying for AUD (taking in June 2018). I am using Becker and I’m already a little confused with AUD since I have no experience in audit.

What exactly is the relationship between GAAS and the other standards?

Is GAAS a term used for any standard (depending on issuer/nonissuer) that you use in an audit?

(Also, sorry if this question is in the wrong forum. First time asking a question!)

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 82
    REG - 79

If you're just starting, it's confusing. My advice is to just stick it out and it will become clear in later modules. Becker tends to mention information before fully explaining it which is confusing.

P.S. I don't think AUD warrants 2 months of studying. I did it in 6 weeks (working FT) and feel like any longer would be a waste. I'd take it mid-May and move onto the next so you can maybe fit 2 exams in Q3.

    AUD - 91

    BEC - 4/21/18

    FAR - 90

    REG - 80

Thanks @katie! How did you study for it? Right now I went through the first module, and now im re-reading it. Its starting to get a little more clearer, but some of these terms are foreign to me.

I agree with you. I think 8 weeks might a little too much. I still need to take FAR and REG, so I really want to dedicate enough time to those exams.
