Hey guys quick question I was hoping someone could help clarify.. So I graduated with a 3.8 this past Spring and currently work in a private company as a financial analyst and buyer. I’m hoping to have all 4 exams under my belt by mid February. I’m kicking myself for not applying myself more in college and getting an internship. If I apply to a bunch of big 4 firms (willing to relocate) what are my chances of getting hired as an associate? Does anyone know if they would hire me during the year or would they wait and hire me next fall with kids coming out of college? Thanks

They hire year round based on the level that you would be coming in at and also based on the need of the office you would be applying to. You will have to be resourceful in terms of getting recruiter contacts and lots of networking through accounting associations. If you live close to a college and know when they would have their meet their firms event I would go even if you are not student.

Think of how you can sell your work experience. How will that align with a a role in audit. I worked at the green dot after spending 5 years in industry and had a GPA lower than 3.0 for my undergrad.
