    Hi Princess,

Can i check when you register an account with your state board, do you need a valid social security number? This is because i do not have one yet. I am currently still in thailand.

    Hi CPA1993,

Can i ask, with regards to evaluation of the TOR by an evaluation services provider, is it mainly for the purpose of registering to take exam or is it for initial licensure? i am so confused =x

    Hi All,

I am researching about CPA examination here in Kansas. I am a Filipina, graduate BS Accountancy in the PUP year 1999. I got twin kids so never had any accounting experience here in US. But planning to come back in Accounting, God-willing. Just want to get connected with you guys as I was an Accountant in the Philippines before I came here last year 2007. Since then, I work in warehouse in the night shift to chip in our family income. And it is an easy job for my situation.

Can one of you guys set up a facebook or group for Filipino Accountants that is here in USA to help out each other in accounting issue?

    Thanks so much

Hello! I'm also a graduate of BS Accountancy in PUP batch 1999. We just moved here in Virginia and currently working on requirements to sit for CPA Exam. I'm so glad to have found this forum and I'd be happy to have friends and study mates.

    Hello! 🙂

So glad i found this forum! I'm a CPA in the Philippines and I'm planning to take the CPA US uniform examination.:)
Appreciate to get some thoughts on the MRA between CPA Australia and CPA US— correct me if I'm wrong, my understanding is that, if you pass the CPA Australia examination, you'll be allowed to practice your license in the US as well?

Need some thoughts on this. 🙂
    Thank you so much!

Hello kababayans! Glad to know there are a lot of us. 🙂 I'm also a CPA in the Philippines. I migrated here in US three years ago and I'm currently reviewing for the US CPA exam. I graduated from UST and had my transcripts evaluated. I didn't take any additional classes for it. I think most Accountancy courses in the Philippines meet the education requirements to sit for the exam here in US. 🙂 Good luck everyone!

Good luck to you guys! Kaya nyo yan! I graduated in 1991, and just recently had the time and opportunity to re-study and passed the US CPA exams. I received my license early this month at 50 years old!

Rey Hipolito is correct, most Accountancy program (5 years Accountancy program) in the Philippines meet the educational requirement to sit for the US CPA exam.

    AUD - 91
    BEC - 82
    FAR - 84
    REG - 88

    Hi,

I also graduated from a small school in the Philippines. I'm currently in Dubai and preparing for US CPA. Sa Alaska ako ngregister and it took me 3 months before ako mkapagtake ng exam. I passed BEC and will be taking the FAR exam next week. Any advice what to focus on?

    BEC- Passed
