    Hello Everyone,
I sent in my application expecting to be rejected as i only thought i had 22 semester units for accounting but got email saying i am qualified. Looking at the website it do not say who did transcript evaluation, is it supposed to? I do have degree in finance but i was under impression that they do not accept finance class for CPA, did someone make a mistake? I am happy i am qualified but just feel strange.

Perhaps some of your courses cross referenced?
Seems strange to me. I'd be concerned that you will take and pass the exams, and then find out you need to take 3 more accounting classes before you can receive your license, which you could have done while you were studying and taking the exams.
Part of me says tread lightly and don't rock the boat, maybe you'll get through fine with no problems. But the other part of me thinks this is going to cause you some heartache and grief on the back end.

That is what i am worrying about. None of my finance class had any part of the name saying Accounting. One of my class says FIN 432 – Financial Forecasting and Budgeting, another one is FIN 435 – Capital Markets and Fixed Income Analysis, would income part be enough to be counted as accounting class?

maybe you got lucky so they let you go…

but man, you last post made me laugh….the income in fixed income does not equal income in accounting…lol.

Ddylan i am just trying to rationalized in any possible way that they could have said i have enough units to take the exams. I guess once i pass everything and apply for licensing that is the only way I will find out if i am short of accounting units and how many.
