Had no idea that there were 3 essays.

Color me surprised when I got to the final section and there were 3 tabs. I allocated my time under that assumption so I had about 45 minutes to hammer through all three. I did a real good job on the first one and spent too much time trying to get through all the points at the expense of the other 2. It was pretty frantic experience.

I guess it is true what they say about assumptions. Other than that, BEC seemed surprisingly easy. I think I overstudied for it but it was good to review all that cost accounting stuff. I really hope it’s not because I did horrible on all three so it stayed easy all the way I think the problems presented in the course were much more difficult.

This is my second time with BEC as it expired. The first time, I crammed for 2 weeks to try and knock it out before my start date and passed by a thin margin. I maybe spent 2 hours on cost before I decided it wasn’t worth it. I think the cost accounting portion most definitely gives you the least return for your money.

If you are on a time crunch, I would say it is totally possible to pass BEC while ignoring it so long as you make it up in other sections. I would say probably the most effective use of time is to know COSO and IC.

Assuming that I passed, just audit is left. I work in audit and passed it a long time ago so hopefully it will be smooth sailing. Can’t wait till this is all over. FAR was a beast but REG, omfg, REG, REG makes me thank Zeus/Allah almighty that I didn’t go the tax route.
