    Hi all,

Hope you are getting great study time. I recently tested for AUD and I don’t have my results yet, started studying for BEC (Using Becker) but I am finding it very difficult to get through the problems and understanding how to apply the concepts. Any advice?

    Aguilar,

I'm in the exact same situation as you except I'm using Ninja Book/MCQ. I have very limited background in the subjects and feel like I'll never grasp them within 7 weeks.

I would also be interested in what others have to say.

    Thank you

Keep working the MCQ's, it will click eventually. And don't get too bogged down on any single chapter. Move on even if you haven't mastered it because you will fall too far behind if you don't. You can still work on problem areas during your review. For Becker, the subject matter gets much easier after chapter 3. Not sure about Ninja.

@aquilar9370 – For the other 3 sections I honestly believe that Becker's MCQ's are so strong that Ninja is unnecessary, but for BEC you should consider springing for Ninja MCQ's if you haven't already. Becker's BEC questions are unreasonably and unnecessarily complicated and it made getting in the 100-MCQ's-per-night marathons impossible for me.

I had to make flashcards for BEC. I probably had thousands of them, it was the only way I could remember everything.

Dont let anyone tell you that the exam is “mostly conceptual” because I have seen this a lot on the forum and you cant rely on that…I found this out in July when i took it. I am so glad I memorized all those flashcards with all the computations.

FYI – I didn't spend much time in Chapter 6 and I dont think I even finished all the homework, honestly.

I finally passed BEC because I made flash cards (on top of MCQs). I used Becker. While reading the book, I made a TON of flash cards. The flash cards are great for review, especially the last few days before exam day. BEC was torture for me. I took it 3 TIMES!
