NINJA Question –

I’m just curious how you guys use the Ninja Blitz. Do you take notes like you’re watching a lecture or do you just watch them to get a feel for the material since it’s already in note format? I’m going through all the REG Blitz this weekend and I just want to get the best use out of it. I have Ninja Audio and listen to that in the car and I’ll have Ninja Notes next week. I’m also using all the CPAExcel outline notes to study and I have the Ninja MCQ. I’m skipping the lectures and book on this one because that worked for me for FAR. Any thoughts?

I was going to share earlier, but I decided it might not be very useful. Now I will anyway!

I haven't used Blitz a lot, but when I do, it is mostly to soak up info and new ways of having things explained. It also helps to have the very orderly visuals. So not too much note taking, although I know I wrote down a few key things for AUD when I only had free weekend access such as this.

For FAR, I did a lot of learning and knew much of the Ninja material cold before I wrote down any notes, and so the notes were to help fill in my weak spots. So I don't think I took any notes from Blitz for FAR.

I will probably take a few notes for REG this weekend, but since I just started studying it, I don't want to take so many that it becomes too abundant to be useful. Oops, I HiYa-ed myself instead of clicking edit. I will probably only Blitz a few areas that I have already read.

I watch the blitz videos before I start book chapters, then watch again when I need a break from reading/working problems. Lastly, the day before the test I watch all blitz videos to save my problem solving creativity for exam day.

Thanks Kimboroni! I hope he has another free weekend after I've really gotten into the material because I think you're right about it helping to nail down the topics I have already covered. I made the “excessive note taking” mistake for FAR and it just overwhelmed me. Thanks for the feedback!
