I was wondering if anyone knows (from experience or knowing from someone else) how long after submitting a completed application it takes to receive your license in the mail from the Board?n

Here in MN, I read on our state board's website, that once you get all your application materials submitted, your application is reviewed at the next regularily scheduled board meeting (State Board of Accountancy), and in MN this is on December 7th. Based upon the rest of the process, such as not getting a letter saying congrats on passing all 4 parts until 3 months after I passed the last section, I have no idea how long it takes once approved to actually receive my license. It will probably take another couple of months, maybe more if you also factor in the efficiency of the US Postal Service. ;/ I would assume I should have the license sometime before Xmas but I am not going to be surprised if there is some other type of delay. Every state is probably different but there is probably information to be had on their website if you can locate it.n

I just read on MN website it takes 2 weeks from being approved at the board meeting to receive the license certificate in the mail.n

Update: MN was extra quick in approving me and sending me my license. I was able to find out that I was approved on the MN Board of Accountancy website and my license number the same day they held their meeting and then I received my license in the mail the very next day. First time throughout the whole certification process in which it took a period of time that was shorter than my expectations so that was a pleasant surprise.n
