    Hey guys,
I know I haven’t pass the exams but in the event I do and if I don’t work under a CPA what other options do I have to get a sign off? Should I reach out to my former boss who’s a CPA I worked for before to sign the docs? Im just curious. Thanks.

BEC- PASS (Expiring in DEC 2017)

    REG- PASS (Expiring Feb 2018)

    AUD- PASS (Expiring Oct 2018)

    FAR- 65, 60, 59, 77!!! -GOD BLESS

If I can do it, anyone can do it!

Have you looked into NASBA's experience verification service? On its face, it sounds like it's geared toward exactly this issue.

Yes, if your former boss was a CPA and you worked under them for the required amount of time you should reach out to them and get them to sign the sheet.

That's what I did and there is no issue doing that as long as the experience isn't over 5 years old and you worked for them over a year (these are California rules)

There is no rule in California saying that your CURRENT employer must be a an active CPA and sign your experience form. Just that you worked for an active CPA at some point and they sign the form..

In Louisiana they let me use my auditors, who had audited my work for the past 9 years. I also had a member of the board of directors who could have signed off since he had reviewed my work for over a year. I imagine those decisions probably vary from state to state though?
