    Hi guys,

In April I sat for BEC and unfortunately found out I got a 74. Between April and now was too much time to just sit and wait to retake BEC in July so I have studied for Reg and i’m taking it Saturday. I was hoping any of you who also had to do this could give me advice on how to get back into BEC and relearn the material. I plan to study full time, so when would be a reasonable time to be able to retake BEC?

    I use Becker for studying.

    Thank you!

Massive amounts of MCQs to assess your weak areas, then re-study the weak areas, and lots more MCQs.
Rinse and repeat. If you test poorly on an area you need to refresh on it.
What was your postmortem report for your 74? Weaker on SIMs or MCQs?

Memento Mori - Kingston NY CPA & EA (SUNY Albany 2002)

    FAR-93 11/9/17 (10wks, 250 hrs, Roger 1800+ MCQs, Gleim TB 600+MCQs, SIMs)
AUD-88 12/7/17 (3 wks, 85 hrs, Roger 1000 MCQs no SIMs hail mary)
    REG-96 1/18/18 (6 wks, 110 hrs, 1400 MCQs, no SIMs)
    BEC-91 2/16/18 (4wks, 90 hrs, 1240 MCQs)

I was stronger in MC, comparable in WC, and Weaker on Sims. The sims were very computational and I felt as if I would run out of time if I worked through all the calculations so I eyeballed parts of a sim.
