I am taking FAR this coming up Thursday and then plan to start studying for REG Saturday.

Currently, I am using Becker. My problem with Becker is that I find it very hard to focus on the lectures AND write in the book. After the lecture is finished and I do the problems and thoroughly review that I find that I have spent so much time doing that I feel defeated by the MCQs. In college (just graduated in December) I was never much of a note taker and usually reviewed powerpoints or practice practice practice…

    ANYWAY

For FAR I just bought the NINJA NOTES and the NINJA MCQ. I plan to do the same for REG because I really like the notes and even considered buying the audio for REG.

My question here is if any of you have any tips or suggestions on how to study more effectively or if the Becker tasks are even worth all the time (although I do find the short videos to be helpful).

I have considered for REG to work my way through he Becker lectures and book twice, of course completing Becker MCQ and SIMS and NINJA MCQ supplementing. Then using the NINJA NOTES and SIMS and just write write write the NINJA notes until my exam.

FAR has just made me feel so overwhelmed that I am trying to plan more for REG.. although I was out 3 solid weeks in the middle of my FAR schedule which REALLY knocked me off track and I never seemed to recover from it.

    Thanks in advance!

You knocked out the harder one – congrats!

I would consider Reg to be about 80% as hard as FAR (70% really but to be conservative).

I believe that doing both becker and ninja mcq would be unnecessary double counting and it's NInja that will give you a better guide to readiness. With all the stuff that has to be done, since you have a successful exam , know Becker and know Ninja, this is what I like:

    * Becker videos – take own notes (about 30 hours for Reg – easy).
    * Ninja MCQ for 200 questions. Take notes on learnings for both missed and correct answers.
    * 200 questions in – now focus on problem areas – do 20-30 questions for each area that is below your current par level.
    * Begin curating notes – connect dots, group notes into meaningful sections, highlight items that would forget.
    * Continue with MCQ and Ninja notes and self notes iteratively.
    * Review ninja and self notes regularly ( I do not rewrite them – for better or for worse). With each pass – things make more sense.

Can revisit trouble topics that aren't satisfied by Ninja or video notes.

Not having to suffer through Becker mcq or practice exams is the time saver as that facility is very nicely accomplished in Ninja.

    AUD - 77
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 77
    REG - 81
REG - 1. Becker only - fail (forgot to study depr - oops); 2. Becker only - Pass
FAR - 1. Becker only - fail; 2. added Ninja Notes and MCQ - Pass
AUD - 1. Becker videos; Ninja Notes, Audio, MCQ, Becker Notes - Pass
BEC - 1. Ninja Notes, Audio, MCQ, Becker Notes - Pass
