    NINJA Question –

I need something different, because what I’m doing doesn’t seem to be working very well. I broke down and bought the ten point combo for REG today. I downloaded everything, but I’m not sure where to start. There doesn’t seem to be a guide or a planner. What do I start with? What are Blitz videos? What are the ninja plus lectures? Is the audio lectures the same? How long does it take to get through all this material?

I’ve already gone through all my Wiley materials for REG.

    Here's what I did:

Copy the ninja notes by hand to a notebook. Copy the first set of copied notes to a second notebook, again by hand.

Do sets of random MCQs. When I started seeing repeat questions, I asked for new questions only. When I ran out of new questions, I asked for questions I missed last time. When I ran out of those, I asked for trouble questions.

This is the most important component of my study method: When you get an MCQ wrong or have to guess, take extensive notes on how to get to the right answer. Make sure you understand where you went wrong.

Listen to Ninja Audio when you drive to work/exercise/etc.

Do some Sims as you get closer to your test date.

Early on, most of your study time will be spent copying notes and doing few MCQs if there's time left in your study session.

I can't vouch for the books/videos/lectures because I didn't use them. I suppose you could read the book for more detail on topics you're not sure about.

I took 8 weeks for FAR, 7 for AUD, 5 for BEC and 8 for REG – all using this method. I studied about 20 hours/week.

    BEC - 85

If you already went through Wiley's materials for REG, then go through the notes, listen to the audio, and focus on the MCQs. If you are going through preparation for the first time, then read the book first, watch the videos, and take notes on the videos. At least that seems to work well for me.

@Wombataholic I see that your signature says you passed all 4 sections with Ninja Audio/notes/MCQ. I am hoping to take a similar approach with BEC as my Becker has expired and I only have the highlighted book. How many times did you rewrite the notes and how long did you study for the different sections?

I rewrote the notes twice for each section. I copied the first set from Ninja Notes, then the second set from the first.

I think I mentioned the number of weeks I studied for each section in my first post. As far as total study hours go, I kept a log of how much time I studied and how many MCQs I finished:

    FAR: 140 hours – 7,783 Ninja MCQs
    AUD: 90 hours – 6,502 Ninja MCQs
    BEC: 77 hours – 4,749 Ninja MCQs
    REG: 96 hours – 8,059 Ninja MCQs

    AUD - 91
    BEC - 85
    FAR - 91
    REG - 92

Thank you everyone! I started listening to the audio and I really enjoy it. I can listen to it at work, so that's a benefit. I won't be able to sit for REG again until January, so my plan is to do every single MCQ and Sim that's in the Ninja software. I'll be listening to the audio almost on a daily basis. I plan on writing out the ninja notes 4-5 times, or about once a week. I'm going to check out some of the videos, but probably won't utilize the book much since I have Wiley's book. I really appreciate it that you all responded. I just need to figure out something that works better for me. I don't want to end up taking each section of this exam three times.
