So! We can’t go through all this crap without having a list of things that you want to do or buy once you pass. What’s your self reward list? Here’s mine:

1. Go on a cruise – pamper time!

2. Buy a PS Vita – Once my test is done, I’ll have time for such things again!

3. Buy a kindle fire – I’ll finally be able to read things that I want to read.

5. Buy make up to make me pretty – I’ll actually be going out to make use of this.

6. Buy a camera – I’ll be seeing daylight to take pictures.

7. Netflix – It’s been years since I watched TV.

8. Get cruuunk – =)

I'm celebrating being halfway done by going on a Disney cruise next week!

Actually, we had this planned this for a long time and this is just how the timing worked out. BEC is really stressing me out though – I'm having a really hard time catching on. I'm not taking any study materials, and just hope I can get over the guilt I'm going to feel about not studying : /

When I'm completely done, I'm not sure what I'll do to celebrate but it will definitely be something!

Well, I gave thanks to God, after all, without him this was not going to be possible, I went out and had some shots with husband & sister, I did a celebration dinner with the friends I hadn't seen while I had no social life!

Now, I'm going to Chicago at the end of April as my celebration trip, then going to Puerto Rico in August and to Spain & France in September!!!

Still thinking about deleting all CPA stuff from my computer but have not find a time to do that yet, passing all my review material and notes to my sister as she is starting this journey very soon!

So, after all this has been a worth journey!

For those of you that are in the middle of it and thinking there is no light, PLEASE stay focused and DO NOT give up!!

One day you'll be on the other side 🙂

What's strange is that I didn't do anything when I passed REG and completed “the CPA journey”. I just sighed in relief. I didn't jump up, do cartwheels, take shots or anything. I think that's my personalty though. I don't get too high and I don't get too low. That was 3 weeks ago I found out. Since then I've been studying for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. I take that in 11 days. After that, I'm tackling the CMA. So, I guess my reward was new certifications that will eventually (hopefully) earn me lots of money. So in essence, money is my reward….I think.

Hmm… what will I do when I get my final passing score…?

First I'll pick myself up off the ground and check for head injuries.

I will then run around in circles screaming (my son does it all the time and he sure looks like he's having fun).

You know, after that, I'll probably just reward myself by hanging out with my family a whole lot. Not much better than that, if you ask me.

@LisafutureCPA – Did you go to University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez Campus also? it is my Alma mater too. It's Puerto Rico's hardest college but it is worth every second. One of the professors is the Becker PR lead prof for FAR and BEC.

So i mistakenly posted a redundant thread….. here's my dream:

Buy a case of busch-light and 2 lb steak

Purchase all six seasons of Sopranos

Take a week off work (okay – a case of the busch light per day)

Take a stay-cation and watch a season of Sopranos per day

Sleep until 11 every day

Sit around and do absolutely nothing

Burn my REG review book in the grill (after grilling my steak). This will work in lieu of dessert (I'll be full from my steak).

Print my online score reports to cardstock and tack to my cubicle (i might even frame…. in my cubicle)

What do you guys intend to do?

I passed last month and started working 70+ hours a week (not counting 45 minute each way commute [with no traffic, 1:15 with traffic] and not counting time I don't bill.)

My big reward comes when busy season is over and my wife and I go on our anniversary cruise! April 23!

Also my wife and our families moved us into our new house today! Now my wife is out buying things for it, thank heavens for that overtime! 😉

This summer, I am going to play golf ALL THE TIME. The new house is on a street where our across the street neighbors back up to the municipal golf course, so i'll be just a short walk from the course!
