Prometric told me that they will send out information within 24 hours of my test date (Friday sept 8th) to let me know if my testing center will be closed (which is really not helpful for an international candidate but what else can I do).

It's apparently just a waiting game. If anyone who is scheduled for the 6th or 7th receives a notification of testing center closure please post so we can know as well!

I rescheduled from the 8th to the 7th. The prometric center wasn't answering so I drove there and it was closed for the day! Weird because I was able to reschedule for the 7th. I think many people said Florida could be experiencing tropical storm winds as early as Friday night so i'd think that I should be able to test Thursday afternoon but who knows? Right now I have a bad feeling that I won't be sitting on the 7th and i'll be very disappointed.

Does anyone test tomorrow at the Dania Beach location? I paid a late fee to test tomorrow (The 7th) on the Prometric website. I called numerous times yesterday and nobody answered, I went there and nobody was there. I called a few times this morning and nobody answered.

I then checked if the prometric center was closed (https://www.prometric.com/en-us/pages/siteclosure.aspx) and it's not closed. It should be open. And I've gotten no emails or calls stating that the center was closed. How is it possible that I was able to pay for this place where I've tested two other times and yet nobody is here now? Was the prometric website just not updated?

@jsn3004 I was going to take that spot but by the time I refreshed it was gone lol.

I did the same online check to see if it was closed (it really shouldn't be) and I called as well, but no luck. Did you go there today? I'm calling the CPA Prometric line for more information.

Here is an updated list of the sites that are closed. Looks like Fort Myers will be closed until Monday the 11th 🙁 I tried to call to see what will happen to my appointment which is for Sunday the 10th but no one picks up.

Dania will be closed tomorrow and Friday. The site was just updated. They say we have to contact NASBA now to find out if the testing window will be extended.

I contacted Nasba and was told to e-mail candidatecare@nasba.org with the date/time/location of the exam and to mention the hurricane. Hopefully they extend the window!

Nasba told me that it is unlikely the window will be extended. Remember the next window begins October 1.

Guys,

Miami and Ft lauderdale and Hollywood are closed until Monday.

I had asked about a window extension yesterday and they told me : “the window will not be extended past sept 10”.

How is that even fair ?!?

Its not fair that you guys have to deal with a hurricane but remember technically the window ended a week ago, and we're already 6 days into an extension. Any other time a window has been extended due to a disaster it was never extended past the 10th of the blackout month. You're victims of the worst possible timing of weather phenomenon and blackout months and that truly stinks all around for you so be mad, scream, whatever you need to do but this is consistent if for nothing else.

Damn, my test center is closed. That really sucks because once I finish this exam, I have a sweet opportunity waiting for me. I was taking two of my last exams this weekend…now I'll have to wait 3 more months. The employer was expecting me to have the exam done this Fall…I really hope I don't miss out on the opportunity because of this.
