I took BEC yesterday and left with this feeling of, “what was that?”. I felt prepared before hand but the test had a lot of things on it I’d never seen before. I will follow up with my score after, but pretty sure I failed.

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 98
    FAR - 96
    REG - 94

That's how BEC usually is from what I've heard…and everyone had to deal with it. It's a weighted test. Calm down…every person who took the test feels this way.

I remember the same thing when I took BEC. There were questions on there asking about terms I've never heard of before. Hopefully those were just pretest questions though and won't affect your score. Try your best to not worry about it till scores come out.

I had some curve balls on BEC that were…HUH? BEC is a catch all random bucket of “stuff”, but the good news is that if you were surprised by it, so was everyone else.

I just posted about this too! Also just took BEC, and your post is exactly how I feel. I was fully prepared for economics, cost accounting, finance, and almost everything on the exam I felt was out of left field and no amount of studying would have fully prepared me.

I think its due to the fact so many people passed in Q3. I took the exam yesterday and compared to the other two times I took it I felt like no major topics were covered. Either super specific or very vague style questions. The sims and WC I thought were a little better but multiple choice def gave me problems

    AUD - 64

    BEC - 73, 73, 80

    FAR - N/A

    REG - N/A

Exactly how I felt. I spent way too much time on MCQ because I had no idea what was going on. No major topics were covered in any detail. Very vague questions.

Who said it was supposed to be easy? All of these exams are difficult in their own way, BEC is no different

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to feel this way. Whatever happens, I'm happy to be taking a nice break from studying for the holidays. Good luck to all and hopefully some of us get good news on the 19th!

@Aaronmo I owe you $5. Somehow I got a 98. I got an 80 on audit and I felt way worse leaving BEC and AUD. The practice questions must've been all of the ones I was guessing on.

Congras on the 98. Not sure how common it is to score that high when someone believes they outright failed it

Congrats on the 98, well done.
That's the thing with this CPA exam, you just never know…
Good luck on your last exam. That 98 should put some wind in your sails, but by no means should you get over confident.
FAR is a monster! Good luck!!!!
