Just more of a venting post, I am so tired of studying. Been doing it non stop for 4 months now and it just has me so tired and drained. I can’t wait for this all to be over and have my life back

    AUD - 91
    BEC - 91
    FAR - 94
    REG - 87
    Done!

FAR- taken 8/11/16....now the wait begins
    AUD- scheduled 9/8/16
    BEC- scheduled 10/9/16
    REG-scheduled 12/10/16

Live a few years like most people won't, to live the rest of your life like most people can't.

I felt the same exact way when I was studying for my first 2 exams (Took BEC + AUD in September). I was contemplating switching careers because I hated this stuff so much. One week before the exam I was totally out of it. But I see you passed 2 parts already so that should be encouragement! It sure as hell encouraged me. I ended up passing both and it made me realise it was worth wasting my summer for it. I see you have REG on 12/10. I would recommend taking the rest of this week off if you are at the point of exhaustion. It does help A LOT if you have a few days of a break just to sit back and relax and have some fun. I don't have that luxury. 11/2 I have FAR and then REG on 12/7. Good luck with the BEC grade. You did well on the 2 parts you took so you should be fine. In less than 2 months it will be over hopefully (for the both of us!)!).

Well, the struggle is real. Take a break, go for a walk…do something different then study….lol No seriously, when the anxiety starts to build and depression begin to be an issue it's time to step back a little. We all want to pass but not go crazy trying to pass. I know the problem with stepping back is getting re motivated or becoming lazy and start to procrastinate. Stepping back is not a bad idea for at least a few minutes. Good luck, you're almost there…..

Me too. I didn't have much trouble motivating myself to study for BEC and AUD but it's like now I've hit a wall with REG. I have so much respect for those of you who have been at this for months and months, I'm already worn out and I've only been studying since June.

I've been at it almost non-stop since Christmas Eve last year. My wife had a baby in February and it's been really hard trying to balance between studying and spending time with my family. I've given up working out and going to most social events so I'd have more time to study and be with my son and I have no regrets.

I keep telling myself it will be over eventually and it will pay off in the long run, but sometimes it feels like it'll never end. I'm praying that it will all be over next month when I take REG, but that's wishful thinking while still waiting for my BEC score.

    16 years on and off.
Started in 2001 when the exam was only in May and November and you have to pass at least 2 parts to keep the credit so it was studying all 4 parts at the same time, scheduled to sit for November 2001 then 9/11 happened and there was no visa given to anyone in the middle east and BAAAM 1 year worth of studying is gone.
Studied for the CMA since it didn't require travel like CPA when it was 4 parts and has same FAR like CPA, started in 2003 and finished early 2005.
Was able to move to the states, Back again to CPA in 2007, passed FAR (3rd try) and BEC, failed REG and while studying for retake by mid/end of 2008, the market crashed, out of work, couldn't afford to pay for the exams, Credit lost.
Back to accounting in 2012, studied for AUD couple of times but with extremely long working hours, was never able to finish or schedule the exam
Finally in 2016, less demanding job and thankfully more time, started in May, passed FAR so far, doing AUD and hopefully will be done by Aug 2017.

I remember when I finished college, I was like “I am not going to study again” and looks like I never stopped studying. Ironic 🙂

Keep it up everyone! You so have this!

It took me almost 3 years and 16 total tries. It is the most rewarding feeling in the end though.

If you've ever witnessed childbirth even on tv comes a point where the mom is DONE, OVER IT, HAS NOTHING LEFT TO GIVE and the doctor calmly says “one more push and you're there”

One more push and you'll be holding your 4th passing score in your arms!
