NINJA Question –

Taking FAR in 9 days. Have spent over 200 hours studying. Just this last week started to do SIMS, and they test your understanding on a whole other level. I had a huge block up in beginning to do them, but sure glad I did. Gauging from the comments of others who have taken the exam, it seems like just as much time if not more needs to be spent on SIMS.

I didnt spent all that much time on sims. I didnt find that it helped me personally. I wouldnt try to solve the sims during practice, i would just look at the answers and make sure it made sense to me. All that being said, i wouldnt recommend to anyone that not studying them is a good idea. I didnt go crazy with them but def at least looked at them to make sure i have an idea of how it was done. I probably practiced FAR sims the most, expecially JE's etc.

I would recommend to take the AICPA practice test to get a feel for the sims. One research, a few DRS, and then JEs/Financial statements are always expected for FAR.

Thanks for the tips. I just worked a couple SIMS here in Ninja, and, boy, what a better system than Wiley SIMS. So much easier to navigate through! The best spent 47 dollars in a long time.
