I failed BEC twice now. I need to pass BEC by July or else I have to take AUD again. My plan is to do NINJA mcqs for 3 weeks until my test day. Will I have a chance? Thank you.

Some people pass based on MCQs only, but it's generally the people to whom the exams come easily in general – the people who passed all 4 on their first try with “easy”/alternative study methods, because exams and/or accounting and/or the AICPA style came easily to them.

If you're struggling with BEC, I would *not* advise an MCQ-only strategy, especially if you've got another exam credit riding on this attempt (and I'm generally one of the ones saying “sure give it a shot!” for anything).

To know what would be advisable, though… What is the date that you lose credit? When do you currently have BEC scheduled for? What was your study method the two times you failed? What was your study method for the exams that you passed?

Since everyone is different, without knowing that information, I can't know how to advise you for this BEC exam. However, unless MCQs-only was your method for your 3 passes, I really can't encourage it for passing BEC, since it's giving you trouble. 😐 Doing a lot of MCQs, oh yes absolutely! But exclusively? Not so sure about that. 😐

I studied for BEC by reading the Wiley book and doing a ton of mcq. It is possible to pass only doing MCQ, just aim for 4000-5000 questions in the next three weeks.

How well are you doing on the MCQs? If you're scoring well enough on them to indicate that you do know the material, then sure, keep pounding away at them.

But MCQs are for practical application of the material, not for learning the material. You've failed twice and are on the verge of losing AUD credit. So be honest with yourself about whether or not you actually know what you're practicing.

I'd maybe add the Ninja Book or Ninja Notes in with the MCQ since there could be some knowledge gaps you need to fill in (just based on the fact that you are retaking it). Just my 2 cents.

Absolutely possible man. I passed BEC slamming MCQs for like a week and half using Ninja. BEC has always been my nightmare/weak exam for some reason.

Yes you have a chance. I did it on MCQ plus notes & audio – so it wouldn't hurt to have those as supplement, however NINJA MCQs were key to helping me pass.

I don't quite agree with: “Some people pass based on MCQs only, but it's generally the people to whom the exams come easily in general”…

Although I did pass BEC my first time back after taking a long break from the exam process, I also took it 5 times between 2014-2015, failing every time, so I'm not one who exams come easy to. Ultimately I think its your learning style.

You need to just buckle down and really dedicate time to MCQs and understanding not only the right answers, but why the others were wrong. Tons and tons of MCQ will prepare you.

How are you in the writing section? If you're not at least “comparable” or “stronger”, I'd highly suggest understanding how to ace that so you can have that part in the bag too.

    Best of luck!

Thank you SO much for all the inputs.
On the 3 tests that I passed, I did lots of mcqs (Wiley and ninja). I don't do well on watching lectures. I may start reading ninja notes.
My AUD credit will expire on July 2, and I will be taking BEC on same day. So this is my last chance.
I will keep you posted. Thank you
