I received a score of 74 yet in the report I’m stronger than passing candidates in all areas except (Understanding the Engagement12-16%) which I’m comparable!!!
How this is even possible? Also got stronger in mcq and weaker in sims. Unbelievable.. Anyone would believe there’s a mistake that would be corrected if I file a complaint?

@sulaiman – I got REG – 72 in December. My scorecard said I am stronger in MCQ's and Weaker in SIMS.

    My scorecard breakdown was

    Weaker in
    Individual taxes.
    Federal Tax process.

    Stronger in
    Taxation on Entities
    Taxation on property taxation

    Comparable in
    Business Law
    Ethics and Legal responsibilities

    Weaker in SIMS
    Stronger in MCQ’s

Before I got 74 in AUD and the it was comparable in MCQ's and weaker in SIMS.

Sometimes it is confusing and I was not able to interpret the results properly.

Sulaiman: I'm really sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, you did say you scored weaker on sims. Based on experience, it is nearly impossible to pass when scoring weaker on sims because they are worth 40% of the grade.
I honestly think you should not waste your time or money disputing this because I doubt they'll change your grade.

    AUD - 75
    BEC - 78
    FAR - 81
    REG - 92

@esenthil thanks for sharing your results, but is it the breakdown score only for mcq? Because this is would be the only explanation since I got no weaker area (instead all stronger except one) meaning I got very little points in sims and that resulted to break my score down to 74…

@gsd512 Actually in FAR when I scored 79, I got weaker in mcq which worth 60% but still being able to pass. Thank you for your advice and I think I'd that since I have the same doubt that they'd even consider changing it

It specifically says above your score: What kind of information is in this report?
The performance display below shows your performance in each of the Content Areas of the Examination and your Overall Performance by item type. Your performance in each content area is based on the multiple choice items only. The percentages represent the relative weights of content in this section. The information below is based on your performance as compared to just-passing candidates (i.e. candidates with a total score between 75 and 80).

As GSD512 mentioned I also think it is waste of time and most of the times nothing will change. I know 74 hurts a lot. You are already done with REG and FAR which are the toughest ones. So keep doing the great work and you will be there soon. Good luck 🙂

I think the best way to say it was said last night by someone in the score release forum… It will take longer and cost more to appeal, and you wont have the same satisfaction even if you prevail (which precedent tells us noone will). I got my 74 on reg, took 6 weeks and was okay. You got this homey

    AUD - 88
    BEC - 89
    FAR - 89
    REG - 80

    @Delbudge

It seems to be the only explanation that I did really poor in sims. Thank you for your comment!

    Thank you!

To be fair, your analysis is based on people who scored between 75-80%. Although it does not make it better, just know that it does not include everyone who has passed.

    AUD - August 2020

    BEC - 84

    FAR - 57, 87

    REG - 57, 71, 59, 79
