    Hello All!

Just completed my Audit Exam and whooop- this seems like a fail!

The MCQs were actually manageable like the normal MCQs, you know some and you don’t know some. Definitely noticed an increase in difficulty on the second test-let but not withstanding, it was doable!

Now the SIMs! Omg, throughout the exam, I kept regretting why I had not done this exam before this change. FYI, the AL is not a solution with this new exam! It couldn’t help me for ANY of the sims! They were all subjective and I had to guess on all of them!

I’m too frustrated to even think about the wait? I don’t think I have a chance at this even if I score high on the MCQs. And I have FAR scheduled for July! please advice/encourage/motivate/pray/wish me goodluck. Will be highly appreciated.

Queen, just hope for the best. I literally have been studying for 1.5 years and I'm only 1/2 way there. I too wish I knocked AUD out before the changes but that didnt happen. Was this the first time taking AUD for you? You may not be able to answer this but is DRS like guarantee on this new exam? Im NOT asking for specific topics but just general DRS so I guess that's allowed right?? I hope Im not violating anything…

Im on the same boat as you, taking AUD at the end of May and FAR in july. Hopefully be done by end of year. I want this nightmare to be over.. Studying since Nov 2015 šŸ™

on my 74 attempt I thought I had passed but failed. My 72 I did well on MCQ and thought I did well enough on SIMS but that wasn't the case.. So perhaps, if you feel like you fail u may have PASSED

BEC- PASS (Expiring in DEC 2017)

    REG- PASS (Expiring Feb 2018)

    AUD- PASS (Expiring Oct 2018)

    FAR- 65, 60, 59, 77!!! -GOD BLESS

If I can do it, anyone can do it!

Don't think a single person has had a positive experience with the new exam yet. Really curious to see how the new scores play out since we're pretty much the guinea pigs for the new format.

that scares me.. but again, hopefully they will be lenient on the grading šŸ™‚

    @IwannabeaCPA2017

I did not have a DRS but had about 3-4 sims similar to a DRS due to the amount of resources and other information I was provided with.

Good luck on your exam! Spend time practicing sims especially the “enhanced sims”. That is something I regret not paying attention to during my review.

    True!

I hope they really curve it for folks that took it in April because I feel as those who will be taking it in May will have more advantage and might be fully prepared due to information from the experiences of those who took it in May. I just want to be done with this exam already šŸ™

A little reassurance… when I left the audit exam the feeling was that I nailed the MCQ and the sims were difficult. I thought the entire time between test and score release that I failed because of the sims.

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked my score the morning after release to see a passing grade. It wasn't an outstanding score but a pass none the less.

Don't do what I did and think about it until score release it does no good.

    BEC - Passed September 2016

    AUD - Passed December 2016

    REG - Passed May 2017

    FAR - Passed March 2018

It felt as if I had failed each and every section when I was testing. Looking back it now, it kind of sucks that I stressed so much about the exam because what was done was done! But, we're only human. Take a break, relax, and get back on move on to your next exam. If you thought it was difficult so did many others. Feeling you did well on the MCQs is a great sign. Focus your attention on your next exam and dominate it.

    Good luck!

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 82
    REG - 79

OP, I think we had the same exam. I was prepared for the MC but its impossible to prepare for some of the sims! Some of them were harder than any DRS I've ever seen.

    AUD - 86
    BEC - 84
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - 86

Thanks for sharing your experience. Sorry to hear AUD was much harder this time around :/. I'm taking AUD myself next month and just took the new FAR. Someone's signature on this forum inspired me because it said that you only fail if you give up. Will send lots of prayers and good thoughts towards your way! And we don't know until August how we did so fingers crossed regardless haha.

    AUD - 86
    BEC - 95
    FAR - 87
    REG - 77

@IwannabeaCPA2017 It's pretty much a regular sim with a bunch of supporting documents added to it. Think of it as a regular simulation mixed with DRS.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 82
    FAR - 74 first attempt

Are those (enhanced SIMS) available for practice within the Ninja MCQ for AUD? Or, is that not really a thing?

Do NOT quit! There's more in you and if you quit you'll never see it. Show you that you can do it.

    AUD PassedĀ  78
    BEC PassedĀ  79
    FAR PassedĀ  77
    REG Passed 76

I'm tired of operating in fear and mediocrity. It's time to try. It's time to do. It's time to go.

So far I don't think any CPA review course have enhance sims to practice, other than the official AICPA practice test. Some CPA review course have DRS, but none that I've know of have a regular sim with supporting doc combo.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 82
    FAR - 74 first attempt

You know that's the saddest thing about taking AUD this quarter is that a failing grade in the 70's would have been almost a guaranteed pass if we had taken it prior to the new format changes.
