Left the test center crying. I feel somewhat blindsided. I studied so much for this test and it felt harder than FAR which I passed last qtr with an 84. It was as if barely any of the basics were even touched on! Does anyone else feel this way who have taken it this quarter? I am so so upset. I thought I knew this shi*t. UGH.

I took BEC in Q4 but it seemed really straightforward compared to REG. The only exam I've left feeling pretty good about so far

    AUD - 96
    BEC - 86
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

I'm right there with you. I left the exam and felt like I totally bombed it. I couldn't eat for the rest of the day because I had a sick feeling in my stomach. Felt like I ran a marathon. It took a long time to stop replaying the questions in my head. I went all out with preparation this time. Gave it my all. Scored 89 and 92 on the Becker exams but I still feel like I failed miserably. I'm dreading March 8th score release. I put in for a tentative day off in case I need to celebrate or drown my sorrows.

There were at least 10 or so questions that I took a guess between two answers, 5 of which I know I blew it on. No idea how to gauge my performance on the written portion. I feel like I did enough to pass, but with audit I had a feeling that it'd be a close call, and I ended up scoring higher than I expected. Then on FAR I was pretty sure I failed, but ended up passing. I have yet to feel absolutely confident one way or the other with these exams.

    @RockLobster @Shane Barker
Seriously.. I probably guessed on about 10 questions as well. I walked in feeling pretty confident and walked out thinking REG was easier.
    Hope we all pass!!!!!

@emichelle2321 did you study bec the same as you did far? I felt bec was an odd exam for sure. Did all the lectures, hw, progress tests until I was around 85, then the two finals getting ~ 75. I did the same for far just with a little more time. I do remember walking out and saying becker was not as strong at teaching bec – I'd study becker + a 2nd course to supplement if you didn't pass. I also would had sworn my third testlet was a medium, which spooked me walking out.

IIRC, the “hard” testlets do have “medium” questions on them

This is why some of us are doing BEC as the last one. The format of it is changing starting next month. I was going to do it as my second test but after looking at the Roger review materials, I decided to do AUD instead.

I took BEC on Feb 27 and I felt the same!! I was so frustrated. I used Becker and I think some topes on IT wasn't covered by it. I hope we can all pass.

I think the AICPA decided to change BEC more than the other tests because too many people were passing it. It's always had the highest pass rate, historically, because the material is inherently easier than the other sections. Best of wishes to everyone who is getting BEC out of the way, or trying to, during the next week or so. Hopefully you won't have to retake it under the new format!!

Thought I would update this thread – passed with an 81. Which goes to show you you cannot trust how you feel leaving the test center at all apparently! I am so relieved and happy. Thank you for being positive in your responses to my dramaticness! It really did help.

    Congrats!!!

For everyone who takes these exams… Don't read too much into it until you've received your score. I thought I failed FAR. I didn't. I thought BEC was a nightmare. I somehow passed. I just took REG yesterday and seriously feel like I will be retaking it.

Seeing all the people who received scores today reminds me that our feelings aren't indicative of our results.

@Shane Barker – Ugh I'm sorry! Did you use only Becker? You did so well on the final exams it's surprising you didn't pass, you clearly knew the material. Keep your head up…

I used Roger, Becker, and Ninja 10 point combo. I think another problem that I have is that my nerves go haywire and at times, my mind goes blank. Questions that I would easily get correct in the comfort of my home are much harder in a testing environment. The pressure gets to me. After so many weeks of studying and so much on the line, its easy for me to buckle under the pressure. I have to figure something out soon.
