Being that this was my first exam, I was expecting a bloodbath from start to finish.
10 questions in and I thought, “Okay, I can stay on pace and finish this in time.” Left myself with 15 minutes per sim.
The first 5 out of 8…they were reasonable. Nothing to get too upset about. Finished testlets 3 and 4 with 50 minutes to spare.
I guess the test-makers decided that I was too calm and decided to pull out all the stops for the last testlet. The first sim caught me off guard. I think I did an okay job on it, but it ate a lot of time. That came back to haunt me as the last two we’re just as bad. I got about 75% way through it and ran out of time.
One bit of advice: Work on your pace I on DRSs. Just in case you come across one.
"FACT": The odds of consecutively passing all four sections of the CPA exam on the first try: 7%.Me: Hold my beer...
