For REG, are you given tax rate info in the question or are you supposed to just know what tax rate to use? I’m using a 2016 book to study, but I’m taking the exam this year. Hypothetically if I use the tax rates in this book on the exam, I would get the question wrong? Any thoughts?

    AUD - 89
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 89
    REG - 90
    AUD - 89

    FAR - 89

    BEC - 84

    REG - 90

    YES!

    AUD 8/18/16
    FAR 11/16
    BEC 1/17
    REG 2/17

Look at your practice MCQs as a guide. They're usually AICPA released questions, maybe with slight modifications to modernize them. So, if they require knowledge of tax rates, you'll probably need it on the exam; if they don't, you probably won't. Seems from what I remember (of my practice – not disclosing exam yada yada before anyone gets worried), the information that was needed as far as rates was included in the question. Or at least, I know I didn't memorize a whole pile of rates, and I still got my average on MCQs high enough to be comfortable. 🙂
