Licensing application updates?

I just submitted all the paperwork for my Colorado CPA licensure yesterday. I had to get the scores transferred from Maine, resubmit my college transcripts (CO has different hours requirements) and do the experience sign-off.

Where can I get a status update to see if the docs submitted are acceptable or if I need to supply any additional info? I’m really hoping to get the license finalized before Tax Season is over.

I'm in GA and NASBA does our licensing. I submitted everything on 12/20 and got an email on 1/4 that they need my transcripts. On their website the FAQs said transcripts transfer with the Exam file, I didn't send new ones, so now I have to wait for those to be sent. There is no status update on the NASBA licensing site, I just have to wait for email updates or call. Someone did a timeline of their license process for GA so that's been helpful, maybe there is one for CO.

I am in FL, and their licensing website just updated overnight to show that my application is being worked on. It shows passing scores for AUD and REG, but BEC and FAR are still showing “deficient” even though I passed them in Q4. I guess everything is just a little held up with the holidays. @Jules1268, I'm worried about the transcript part too. The application said to send it in, but the woman on the phone told me they already have it from when I originally submitted the application to sit for the exams. Maybe it's different between states. I guess I'll find out!

South Carolina applicant here. Submitted all documents around December 13,2018. Background check, transcripts, experience verification all submitted and received. I won't receive my license until AFTER the board meets to formally approve the scores. The boards meets once a quarter, however they're planning on scheduling a special meeting in February to approve scores. So a candidate can pass in December and still have to wait two months for their license. It's absurd.

@Naptural80 That's crazy! I haven't heard anything like that! Florida just updated my application status again, and everything is marked Completed except for the background check. I hear that is the last step for Florida. I was so worried about having to send in transcripts again, but they said I'm good to go with that part. AHH!! It's almost official!

@TalkNerdytoMe i'm so jealous right now. All my boxes are marked accepted except for “Exam Scores” and “Board Approval”. It's unreal. Congrats on reaching the last step. I'm ready to update my resume but with “CPA” instead of “CPA pending licensure”!!!!

I'm in NJ so NASBA evaluates my initial application. I filed, paid the $65, then they emailed me saying they needed my add'l transcripts on January 4th. My college sent them January 2nd and haven't heard anything back yet. They only update thru email I believe.

    Working hard...

I'd be going crazy!! I'm happy to be in Florida. I mailed in my application on the 19th, it showed up in the system on the 28th, and they licensed me on the 8th. I didn't have to send in my transcripts again. It was quite a smooth process. The FICPA and AICPA also accepted me on the same day I applied. Come on SC!! I'm from Greenville actually.
