Meet experience requirement in another state.

    My state of residence is NY. I want to apply for an initial CPA license in another state. Can I meet the experience requirements of another state by working in NY?

    For most states, the verifier has to be an actively licensed CPA from any state. The only restriction I am aware of is, I would not be allowed to work in public accounting in NY.
