    Hi All,

I just took REG and Oh my gosh! I think I failed 🙁

Its sad that I might have to retake this test with the new format.

    Breakdown

MCQ’s were fair overall – marked a bunch, guessed on a few, but was confident on most.

SIMS! Oh my God – those sims were brutal 🙁

Research was good although I spent 20 mins to find the answer but I am quite sure about that.

The other 5 sims , I don’t know what to think. Totally guessed on one without any reasoning.
2 out of the 4, I was 60% sure but the other 2, may be 40-50%.

Has anyone had a similar experience and still ended up passing ?

    Please advice!!!!

    Amen 🙂

I barely got by with a 75 and had a similar experience – this was last year. Felt okay (not great) on the MCQ. Sims completely brutal but def. got the research right. A couple of SIMS I probably got 50/50, the rest were educated guesses (no blind guesses).

I would say you are right on the borderline

    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - 75

@QueenCPA I pray that your performance pushed you through to a 75+.

The SIMs are what worry me as well heading into my test day. I go back and forth w/ actually doing practice SIMs, and wonder if the practice will even be useful. :\ I've been practicing them in Ninja, Wiley, and Roger.

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 82
    REG - 79
Be willing to be inconvenienced for your conviction.

My REG SIMS were insane and I had convinced myself I had failed. I ended up passing with a 76 on the second try. Don't sweat it – you may be happily surprised.

    BEC - 81
    AUD - 79
REG - June 2016 (Thanks Nasba!)

    Thank you all!

I am just hoping the one I guessed 100% on is Pre-Test.

Any other person had a similar experience and passed?

@QueenCPA- I took the exam today and had a similar experience. I didn't have to flat out guess on the SIMs, but I certainly did not feel 100% about any of them. I am pretty sure I got the research question, but who knows. Fingers crossed we did enough today to squeeze by!!

Were you able to your the Authoritative Literature for any of them? I had enough time where I could use the AL to help me figure out the answer or at least a very educated guess.

    AUD - 86
    BEC - 76
    FAR - 82
    REG - 79

My experience was similar to you.

    2nd Attempt(Took in Feb – 2017)

    SIMS :
1 SIM – All answers correct
DRS – Ran out of time – Not able to complete it.
Research – Took 20 minutes. Not sure whether correct or not
3 SIMS – Random topics and took a wild guess.Just filled some figures.
    Scored 86.

    1st Attempt(Took in Dec 2016)

    SIMS
    Research was correct.
DRS – I think partial correct.
4 SIMS – Wild guess. Don't even remember the topics.Just filled some figures.
    Scored 72.

MCQ's did well in the second attempt and poorly in 1st attempt. I felt SIMS was the same 1st and 2nd attempt.

Hope you will pass. All the best 🙂

My experience wasn't exactly like yours (I felt better about sims and worse on multiple choice) but it is the only exam I could have literally broke down and cried during the middle of. I feel like your feeling coming out of the exam doesn't necessarily constitute how it went. I know it's hard, but no need to worry about it until you get a score. When I got my passing REG scored I was so excited!!

    AUD - 87
    BEC - 89
    FAR - 85
    REG - 78

    Thank you All!

I am seriously hoping for a miracle.

    @WVUCPAHopeful
: I was able to use the AL for some of the sims but I totally ran out of time and couldn't find anything pertaining to the sim I guessed on 100%.

@esenthil: Hopefully my testimony will be similar to yours

Any other person had a similar experience and was surprised with a passing score?

March 8th needs to come quick!!!

I started crying during the REG exam, left the center and cried even more…ended up passing. I feel your pain right now, waiting is the worst part but with these exams it's really hard to predict your score.
Wish you the best of luck!

    AUD- PASSED 11/16

    BEC- PASSED 12/16

    REG- PASSED 1/17

    FAR- PASSED 3/17

I just checked my score. I thought I had failed badly but passed with an 88… Similar thing happened to me with FAR. My REG breakdown is as follows:

1st testlet: felt easy, but I was not confident with my answers. I thought to myself “hmm, these look too easy…” but kept going.
2nd testlet: did not get difficult at all, so I thought I didn't do well on the previous testlet.
3rd testlet: got a bit difficult but couldn't really tell.
SIM: out of 6 questions, I was confident with half of the questions (including research). But the other 3 questions, I wasn't so sure (I knew I didn't do well on 1 of them). I just tried my best, relaxed, tried to remember the concepts I had picked up from my study and finished the exam.

I guess my point is: YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GONNA GET.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - 90
    REG - 88
