    Hi all,

I have been enjoying the topics and the replay in this form for the past couple of hours and then I decided to join and ask.

a quick glance about me to better help me. Am from Yemen. Graduated on 2005. Work at KPMG for 3 years and then for Occidental Petroleum for 10. Due to civil war here I have been out of job for 2 Years (forget all about accounting). Now planning to travel to another country to be able to study for CPA full time (Study daily between 8 to 10 hours) as we don’t have electricity here. In the past I passed the PMP exam from the first try buy I know the CPA exam is harder tougher (it’s not a JEEP ad) and more time consuming.

Was thinking to buy Wiley Platinum CPA Review Course and Ninja MCQ for each part as I like to solve questions from more the one source (raise my confidence).

How are the quality of their books and questions (I don’t want any surprises during the exam)?
How to approach the materials? should I go over everything they offer?
How much study time should every part take?
What should I start with (I was thinking audit)? Is is advisable to study more than one subject at one time to finish fast?
Any comment or info. would be extremely helpful to me. Please feel free to suggest different review courses (just tell me why you think they are better than my current combo).

One last thing, I read in one post here that the Wiley platinum Package question has an expiry time after one year of purchasing. Is that correct?

Sorry for the extra long post. Good luck to ya all

I use the Wiley Platinum course and Ninja MCQ to supplement it. I have taken 3 parts (passed 2, waiting on my score for FAR that I took 5/31). I think this is an effective combo. The quality is good; they cover everything I’ve seen on the tests. I use the videos and study text online, then I take the proficiency questions and multiple choice questions after each lesson. Then I do the test bank when I have completed all the lessons. Then I move over to ninja MCQ and do all of those. I also rewrite all of the flash cards. I do not recommend studying for multiple exams at the same time. It is better to focus on one, and since you’re studying full time you will knock each one out pretty quick. I started with audit, but others recommend starting with FAR to get the “hardest” test out of the way. I would start with whenever one you feel most comfortable with.

And the course never expires until you have passed all 4 parts.

Thanks for your replay. I think now I can say that I made my final decision. Just want to ask: how much should I reach in the tests I take at home before I go to the real exam? Some people say 90 others 80 and my friend say 70 is enough as Wiley questions are more difficult than the real test.
