This is my first post so I dont know how this works.

I got a 72 on audit in the q2 testing window, took it 6-8-2018.

I got my score breakdown and see that I did superior to passers on MCQ but weaker on SIMS.

Of those types of questions, I was comparable or stronger in every area except “performing further audit procedures and obtaining evidence” this sounds like what a lot of my sums were like, How you you recommend tackling it the second time. Thanks for any help

Hi, I did audit last quarter and I passed it. However, I recommend you to use elimination techniques for the options while you solving further audit procedures, And always tries to read all the options even you are confidence about your answer.

    Good luck.

Hey – think like an auditor when going through the exam. Ask yourself, would an auditor really do this in the field, or while performing planning procedures. I kept memorizing the Becker book and repeatedly did countless of MCQ (which is great) but ended up failing each time. It wasn't until I took a step back and learned the material at a high level is when I passed.

In addition, if you can, try to fly through the MCQ on test day. THe sims count so much these days, and spending 2.5, or even three good hours on those can really up your score, instead of rushing through them.

@jnr21, I had same report like yours when i failed audit for fourth times. Finally i was able to pass it when i bought GLEIM TEST BANK and practiced sims that are heavily tested for Audit by AICPA. GLEIM also gave me something new to practice as i was getting repetitive with Rogers and Ninja MCQs. Also try to practice AICPA sample test sims and others similar sims.

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 76
    REG - 77

I feel AUD and BEC required me to utilize the evaluation/analysis skills more than the REG/FAR.

Audit was the hardest for me. Mainly because of the terminology and the answers were confusing as heck. It took me some time and what helped me was really understanding the audit process/reports. As suggested by someone above, maybe role play and think of yourself as an auditor.

For me. I don’t have the audit experience so I really looked at the literature to understand more on the reports.

I did it. You can too!

    Study Material:
    GLEIM
    BEC - FEB/2012
    AUD - FEB/2012
    FAR - JULY/2012
    REG - JULY/2012
