    NINJA Question –

As a good number of us will be heading into busy season in January, I’m assuming that studying will not be an option (unless you are insane). I was wondering if it has ever been suggested to offer a 2 month hold on your Ninja subscription similar to what most gym memberships allow. This would prevent people from cancelling and having to re-subscribe later.

For a lot of us, it’s difficult to justify dishing out $134 when we know we will not be studying at all.

Clock is still ticking. Keep pushing.
January and February are not optimal times to sit, but you can make it work.
March/April are the really bad months, at least in my office.

@Recked I'll be working until midnight during the week and 10pm on the weekends for January and February so it really isn't possible. I wish my busy season was more manageable but I would imagine I'm not the only one.

You’ll essentially burn 1/3 of your 18 mo and take one exam if you wait until after busy season to study.

I don’t know the stats, but a large % of cpa candidates likely have some sort of busy season(s) and still study.

Not saying it will be easy, don’t get me wrong.

ya as much as it sucks to say, it just is what it is. you either got to find a way to sneak in some studying or you are handicapping yourself to a limited amount of time in the rolling 18 month window.

My advice would be to take REG as the section that you are supposed to be studying for during a busy season if its a tax busy season. or take AUD if its an audit busy season. That way the on the job life experience you are in the middle of can at least reinforce or fill in the gaps of any areas you dont have time to actually sit down in NINJA or your other review course if applicable.

You'll see stories from folks on here of all the shit they had to go through and sacrifice to get those initials behind their name. I studied through 2 tax busy seasons while having a newborn at home with the pressure of having twins on the way.
